Very charming cabin in a beautiful location! We will definitely be back
My wife and I have been staying here for the past 4 years. We really enjoy it because it is nice location for things we enjoy doing. We are already planning our next visit.
I first of all just want to Thank Kathy for a wonderful stay. It was amazing to sit out back and just listen to Linville River. I have been to Linville Falls and Linville Caverns and this just completes everything. This was a trip for my Dad to visit family and the place made it accessible to everything we wanted to accomplish. I highly recommend everyone to try this place out.
Nice little creekside cottage stuffed full of furniture and knickknacks. Good for a couple of days stay.
Kathy is the Greatest. She was able to answer all of questions, that were not listed on the check in sheet that Vrbo provided. We had a great time, and were very comfortable in this beautiful cottage. Thank you. Jody
It was very easy getting to this cottage. Loved the location and sound of the river while sitting on the back porch. Had some difficulty getting the key as the code for the lockbox was incorrect. Texted and called the number listed in the description but got an automated message saying the number was not in service. Thought we might have to find a hotel room! Luckily found a different number to call and got ahold of the owner. She told me the correct code and I was able to retrieve the key. She said she had been having trouble updating the listing information and had been in touch with VRBO about it. She was very prompt and helpful. The inside of the cottage was very quaint and decorated in a farmhouse fashion. My daughter counted 92 chickens (not live!) in the house! It was the perfect size for just two people. Unfortunately I did find old coffee grounds in the filter in the machine, so I opted not to use it at all. It would also be very convenient to have a small trash can in the bathroom; the only one was located under the kitchen sink. I also did see quite a few ants in the bathroom, and a couple on the kitchen counter. Overall though, nothing that bothered me too much to deter me from staying again. I would say sitting on the back porch and listening to the river was the most relaxing part. :)
We had such an incredible weekend… woke up to the sound of the river and watched a bird fly in and out of its nest on the porch while we drank coffee. Saw live music at Hamptons Barbeque and had some amazing food and drinks, did 2 beautiful hikes in Linville Gorge (only a 10 min drive away) and walked through the vineyards at Linville Falls winery (5 mins away). Kathy was super helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with the perfect blend of nature, food and quiet time!
After getting the correct lockbox code our stay was peaceful and relaxing! Cottage was small but cozy and spotless! The kitchen was better stocked than my own at home! Ate our meals on the back porch listening to the sound of the river. This cabin def has the best water view. We enjoyed Hike to Linville Falls and the Linville Winery was impressive with live music 3-6pm (they close at 6). Would def recommend and stay again!
Cozy & comfortable cottage in a great location to explore the area, although we found it hard to leave the back porch & river! Highly recommend
Enjoyed my stay
