Peaceful Cabin in Cove on Williamstown Lake 7 miles from Ark Encounter

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We were close to the Ark Encounter and only a short drive to the creation museum. It was a much needed get away for our family.

Overall this place was great, close and convenient to what we wanted while giving us the luxury of being in a home rather than a hotel. My husband, myself and our five children fit perfectly in this home. The kids enjoyed the pool table and darts and of course the amazing view.

Nice peaceful lakefront cabin. Enjoyed the hot tub and kayaks. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Great place to stay when visiting the Ark!

Nice place to stay, we enjoyed the fire pit so much as well as the hot tub. The instructions on the refrigerator were helpful. If you are mold sensitive be aware there seems to be a source in the basement and a bit of musty area.

The hot tub was ready to go. We were able to check in a bit early, which helped with traveling from out of state. It is also very close to everything we planned to visit! The only knock was the road to the property, but we managed and it’s not the owners fault.

It was in a relaxing area, and the hot tub was nice.

Beautiful home, beautiful lake. The gravel road to the property is rough but scheduled to be worked on soon. Be sure not to drive a low sitting car until the road is fixed. The owner was very nice and responds to messages quickly. We would love to stay here again.

Cabin is exactly as described very quiet, peaceful and relaxing cabin. Has everything one would want. The grandkids especially enjoyed kayaking on the lake and fishing. We enjoyed having a family billiard tournament. We were there in enjoy Ark Encounter and the cabin was ideal and close. Donny was an excellent host and apologized for the work being done on the road during our stay.

Very quiet and relaxing. Everything was clean and tidy. We spent a couple days at the house fishing and swimming, lots to do without having to leave the property. Road getting to the house was a little rough but was not a big deal. The whole family had a great time. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing, I have stayed at a lot of VRBOs but this one was above and beyond. They were completely stocked with toiletries and kitchen paper products, things that other places you have to buy and then try to pack it home or donate it. It also wasn't packed with extra decor, very kid friendly and very appreciated!

We really enjoyed this property. Relaxing around the fire pit or in the hot tub with views of the lake were great.

We loved our stay at the lake! We visited with anothe rcouple and our four children. The kids loved the hot tub, boating on the lake, and all the games. The new stairs down to the lake were amazing! We had a great time and the house was more than ebough space for the 8 of us.

We came for a view days to visit the Arc and spend time together as a family relaxing by the lake. This property was perfect.

We enjoyed our stay. The basement was always cold. If thermostat raised, too hot upstairs. Suggest space heater for basement. Change light fixtures in master bedroom. If cleaning service unplugs fixtures, have service plug them back in. It is very difficult for a 75 year old person to get underneath bed to plug back in. Additionally, switch to lamp was underneath the bed.

Shower curtain in basement kept falling down as well as the clothes bar in closet. We were able to fix the one in the closet, but not as successful with the shower. Also there was no Kleenex or soap in the bathrooms and only one hand towel. It was pretty property and the upstairs was nice. We cleaned up branches from back yard. Overall it was ok.

We enjoyd our stay and the property was kust as described. Checking in and check out were convenient. Rooms, beds, and bedding were all fine. We didn’t get the opportunity to use most outdoor features due to rainy weather. Never got down to the dock or into the hot tub. The only negative is that the property is on a steep spope which made it difficult to get to the downhill features (lake, dock, fire pit) specially when wet. Parking was also a challenge as it’s somewhat steep and narrow gravel.

It was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the hot tub. The house was very clean. The interior was nicely decorated and we loved the kayaks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was comfortable, beautifully updated, lots of room, nice lake front experience, quiet, near small town experience but also close enough to the airport, great distance from The Ark and The Creation Museum.

Stayed with my family of 4 for 3 nights. Enjoyed our stay very much, there’s something to do for everyone. Went to the ARK, kayaked on the lake, played darts and shot some pool. Hot tub was lovely. We relaxed by the fire pit and experienced a lot of nature most especially we liked the Eastern screeching owl, we found its call on YouTube and it would fly around and call back to us. Deer and cranes are all around. You can also search for clams in the lake. The host (Donny) was wonderful and a great communicator. I would recommend this property. Cindy
