Just got home and can't say enough good things about this property and the hosts. Private and comfortable, a chance to unwind and relax in nature. Listen to the waves rush in and out, the birds singing and after dark the geckos call. Far from the mad world.

Seaside Don’s place was incredible! He was an amazing host that gives you everything you need to make the most of your trip to Curacao! Restaurant recommendations were on point and the view is breathtaking . Plan to be back again and again.

An amazing property! It was a mother/daughter trip and we couldn't have had a better place to stay. The view, and ocean access were better than we could have hoped! Snorkelling in front of the villa was terrific. Private salt water pool was a great place for a quick cool off and we spent a lot of time on the big patio. Short drive to many beaches and great restaurants. And we enjoyed a beautiful hike with Angie. Don and Angie were very accommodating hosts who worked with our schedules, were always easy to reach and gave us great recommendations in the area. The community was nice and quiet and we felt very safe. Would highly recommend this villa! Every time we looked out over the ocean it was hard to believe it was all ours :)

The location, view, amenities, and layout were absolutely fantastic! The location was perfect for accessing all of Curacao. Our hosts gave us some great recommendations and though we were not able to do everything, we definitely enjoyed those we did.

This place was perfect, we went for my wife’s birthday and it did not disappoint. Don was incredible, he helped us at every turn and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. I would 1000% recommend this place to anyone.

As a solo female traveler, I’ll first say that I felt incredibly safe at all times. The cottage is in a quiet, gated community with upscale homes. Don and Angie were the perfect hosts! I took advantage of the pre-stocked grocery service, which means I was able to drive straight from the airport, grab a drink from the fridge, and enjoy the AMAZING VIEWS from the very private patio. I had a front row seat for the most incredible sunsets and rainbows. Next up, snorkeling. What a treat to be able to walk down a few steps and straight into the most beautiful turquoise waters. With a reef just to the left, I saw so many coral and fish! A little to the right of the cottage, I saw a sea turtle and even an eel! The only “downside” to this is that the snorkeling at all the other beaches I visited paled in comparison when the best snorkeling was right out my back door! Lastly, the cottage is primarily an open air concept by day, which is fine because you won’t be in the cottage! Everything closes up at night and the AC is nice and cool. If you’re debating booking this cottage, just do it. It’s the perfect spot to do absolutely nothing but stare at the sea and/or the perfect home base for exploring the rest of this beautiful island.

This property is exactly as advertised, and we join those who rated it so highly. Indoors you have all you need, kitchen with all amenities, good AC, comfy bed. But it's outside that makes it special. A huge, beautiful deck with elevated views of clear ocean water and the most memorable sunsets. If you like snorkeling, this is perfect spot. Private steps down to the ocean, put on your mask and jump in. No tourists, super clear visibility, plenty of colorful fish. When you're done there's a refreshing saltwater plunge pool where you'll want to enjoy a cocktail or 2. The hosts, Angie and Don will give you so much information you'll know every restaurant, beach, snorkeling spot and place to shop on the island. Expect answers in minutes by email should you need anything. Despite all the places to go on Curacao, you won't want to leave this place. Secluded and perfect for a couple that truly wants to get away from it all. Yeah, we'll be back.

We spent six nights at Casa Ba-ooo at the end of September for our first visit to Curaçao. It turned out the be a more remote part of the island for visiting some of the smaller beaches and soaking up some peace and quiet. It’s next door to the awesome beach of Cas Abou beach.The property is gorgeous, and it’s clear that the owners care about every detail. The cottage is on the small side but it is about outdoor living. We were there during a heat wave so even though the upper deck has lots of sitting it was too hot to sit on the upper deck. We spent all our time on the lower area with the pool and covered cabana. We snorkeled everyday right from the property. The pool overlooks the water and it was the perfect spot for a nightcap and to see the beautiful sunset. You can walk down the street from the house to a salt pan and see some flamingoes. The bed was a little on the hard side for us and the kitchen is well-equipped, but the outdoor living space is truly next level. Angie and Don were super responsive whenever we needed anything. We did the set up with Angie for my husband’s birthday & she did a great job. We did one of Angie’s morning nature hikes. Might have been a little more nature than we wanted but she was great with her dog Jade. I used Anouk the masseuse who comes to the property - honestly one of the best deep tissue massages I’ve had. I can recommend Cas Ba-ooo if you are looking for a relaxing and restful trip but don’t forget sunscreen & bug spray!

Absolutely stunning views, snorkeling was excellent! Great communication from hosts, and the recommendations for restaurants, hiking, and getting around in general were fantastic. Very quiet, peaceful, and remote. We loved it!

Amazing location and easy check in process. Don and Angie went out of their way to check us in early and make sure we were all set. Provided great suggestions for local spots to check out that fit our personalities and interests. Make our stay the best possible.

One of the best vacations ever. The cottage is completely private, the snorkeling was amazing. Don and Angie were on top of everything. Amazing vacation - a true vacation from the hustle and bustle. Thank you, Don and Angie for making it perfect. We'll be back!

We had an amazing stay at Ba-ooo! The ocean views were awesome! It was great waking up to the view and lots of birds visiting. The location couldn’t be beat to tour the west side of the island. However the best snorkeling was just off the property and to the left towards Cas Abou. Don and Angie were great. We’d definitely stay here again.

My wife and I just returned from Curacao after a week stay at this amazing oceanfront cottage. First, the pictures do not do it justice. All pictures are accurate. It is directly on the water. The oceanfront plunge pool was great and we watched multiple sunsets from there. We did scuba diving right off the property and saw 2 octopi, squids, numerous fish and eels. The place was perfect size of us, king size bed, shower with great water pressure (a plus for me), and a full kitchen. The host was very communicative. Gave great recommendations.Would highly recommend.

It was such a special experience my husband planned for my 40th birthday. The bungalow was so neat, with local art and eclectic touches. Dons place is the best lot in the subdivision. I enjoyed my morning coffee with the sunrise, the private chef Don reconnected to my husband for birthday dinner and swimming from our place to the beach around the corner.

The summary of the place was absolutely accurate. We walked in and it looked exactly like the pictures. We were so thrilled with the location. The inside is small but perfectly functional. HUGE canopy bed with a comfortable mattress, washroom with shower and a smaller kitchen w all the needed amenities. We cooked and lived outside though. The outdoor grill worked great. We got groceries near the airport on the way there and were impressed with the Centrum store. The beef and fish were less expensive then home! The best part of the place was the huge outdoor deck that overlooked the sea. Absolutely beautiful views. We saw some people complained about seeing cruise ships but they are only occasional and miles away! Kind of enjoyed watching them. We even saw a sea turtle one morning from the deck. The birds became our little friends. We are not sun worshippers and when it got hot, we would just move under the canopy or go down to the private pool/covered terrace. Spent two full days there! beautiful breeze off the ocean to cool down. When in the pool you felt like you were almost in the ocean it was so close. And we snorkelled every day right off the dock. I scuba dive and have dove in many places around the world - was totally impressed with the reef, drop off, abundance and variety of fish there. There is a private beach just next door which was pretty cool. Also a paid beach resort if you feel like that vibe also 2 minute drive. We will return!
