Despite the significant tourist traffic passing the house on its way back and forth to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse park, the stay was very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage itself is very small, but this was something we were actually hoping for, and we found it everything necessary. It had everything we needed, though no laundry facility, which wasn't a big problem for us as our next stop would allow us that amenity further down the coast. Our stay was peaceful and quiet and very relaxing, with a very nice walk down a quiet dirt road to the shore for beautiful sunsets (and sunrises if up early enough to walk down there!). The simplicity and sense of disconnecting from our usual daily routines suited us to a 'T'. Our rating a solid 10 out of 10.

This property was extremely cute, and a beautiful place to stay. Both inside and outside were adorable! The bed was very soft, and there were plenty of blankets and towels. However, there was no A/C and it easily got to 80 F in the cottage. The bathroom was so tiny neither of us could shower properly and anything in the bathroom got wet when you did because you can't turn without hitting the shower curtain. This bathroom is not handicap accessible, and is not really accessible to anyone slightly taller/heavier than average. Some of the amenities listed on expedia are not there. If it isn't listed in her description, it isn't in the property (no wifi, TV, microwave, arcade). I wasn't expecting them, but figured if you're looking here you might want to know. The cottage is well placed, being near both the point and close enough to town not to be inconvenient. The sunsets really are beautiful!

The Olde Post Office Cottage was SO peaceful & quiet! However, there were still options for dining & shopping within a 20 minute drive. The cottage was cozy and perfect as a home base to explore a bit of Maine. The property owners were so kind and communicative with all the needed details. And, they provided a lovely bottle of Maple Syrup, which we tried out over the Blueberry Sampler at the nearby SeaGull Restaurant. We would love to stay here again at some point in the future!

I fell in love with this cottage from the pictures in the listing, and it did not disappoint! It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The landscaping and outdoor decor were just as charming as the inside. The location was ideal for exploring the beautiful Maine coast, the lighthouse and museum, area restaurants, and shopping in the quaint nearby towns. Janet was a fantastic host....always quick to communicate and give recommendations for places to visit. She left us a gift of Maine maple syrup and a sweet note upon our arrival. My daughter-in-law and I really enjoyed our stay, and we plan to return soon!

We stayed at the cottage for Christmas holiday. It was perfect. Beautifully decorated. Bed is super comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Special treat was the Maine maple syrupand a jar of blueberry jam we were given along with a beautiful Christmas card which I will be placing in a frame. We walked the Pemaquid loop every morning and enjoyed the beautiful ocean views. A total gem of a small cottage for two.

It looks straight out of a storybook with great amenities and lovely grounds. We were able to have a fire in the fire pit which was so much fun and being close to the lighthouse was a huge perk. The host was kind and accessible. I would definitely composer staying at this property again.

A nice small cottage, that's perfect for 1-2 people. It's a great location for exploring the Pemaquid peninsula. The cottage was clean and the description and picture showed exactly what you were getting. It is located on the main road down to the lighthouse and was busy on the weekend but only during daylight hours, but I was expecting that. I enjoyed my stay there and would take it again if I wanted to stay in Pemaquid.
