Old Country Charm 2 1/2 blocks from Main St Shopping/Private Get-a-Way w/Hot Tub

The place was great and scenery was fantastic! The only thing is there is only a claw foot tub (which is beautiful), but if you’re a shower person then sitting in the tub with the sprayer can just be a hassle.

We really enjoyed our stay at Crenwelge’s Cottage for our first trip to Fredericksburg! The bed was super comfortable, hot tub was clean and relaxing, and location was perfect. Situated on a large lot giving you a country feel right in town. Would definitely recommend to others!

Such a great and relaxing place to stay. We loved the location. It's very close to everything, yet you feel tucked away.

I liked seeing all the deer on the property. I also liked the property was with in walking distance to Main st. I felt the outside of the porches could have been a little more tidy and cleaned off.

Was a very relaxing spot to stay and within walking distance of all kinds of things to do. Loved watching the deer just lounge around in the yard. The house reminded me of spending time with my grandmother

Great property with a quick walk to Main Street

Yes...The room was clean, hot tub was working OK, and parking was easy.

Overall it was perfect for our trip. Little more rustic than we were expecting but we settled in nicely. It was nice how close it is to downtown and the surprising amount of deer that showed up was a special treat.

The hot tub makes it! Lovely, secluded, private cottage. Loved the property right on the creek with all the birds and deer. The newly renovated shower was a surprise since the listing shows a clawfoot bathtub. Would have preferred a regular coffee pot over the keurig (it leaked a little). A stove top would have been nice too. The sheets and bedding were very comfortable. There was quite a bit of road noise from all the motorcycles and cars passing by but it did not disturb us while sleeping. It was perfectly located for us to get to the wedding venue and all the downtown shops. Would stay again in the future. Thank you!

Although the house is for sure dated, we loved our stay. Hot tub worked as intended, and it was very convenient to Main Street. Good value

This is a very cute little house. We loved everything about it other than just having a tub. I'm just really not a tub person. Loved how it is a little secluded, so you have some privacy all to yourself. Thank you again for letting us enjoy your little house.

The house was so quaint. It was amazing seeing so many deer. Right down the road from main Street and a straight shot to enchanted rock.The bed was really comfy. We couldn't be more happy with our stay, we were sad to leave but would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would stay here again.

This was a perfect place for us. Although it was in town it was private and secluded. It had a charm that reminds you of past times. It was ajoy to see the deer come up every evening.

Great place , close to everything

Very clean, rustic and historic house. Our stay was comfortable and relaxed. The property was beautiful - secluded yet just a few blocks from Main. Lots of wildlife, including around a dozen deer. Awesome to enjoy sitting outside amongst the trees. Very cool!

The location is so convenient, with restaurants and shops close by. The location of the home, near the city center, felt like you were surrounded by nature. We enjoyed the friendly deer in the yard. We counted eight as we were leaving!

Awesome cottage

Even tho close to a busy street the yard with all the deer was great! One came right up to me and ate an apple out of my hand. Checking in and out was very easy, we enjoyed our stay.

This is the cutest little charming cottage within walking distance to Main. The bed was comfy. Loved taking baths in the old clawfoot tub! The deer in the yard are the cherry on top along with the hot tub. While in the hot tub, a deer came within 4-5 ft from us. We bought them a couple bags of deer corn.

Very nice place to stay. Antiques and the authentic decor took us back to our youth staying with family living in the country.

Our stay was great and the house was clean and cute. Love the outdoor views.

Nice little house, great location and very peaceful. We were here 4 nights 5 days so we had several clothes, there was not a place to hang them or a place to put them in. The furniture in the den is limited to one antique couch, which is pretty but not functional for relaxing and watching TV. The front and back porch are awesome for sitting on and watching the deer however the mosquitoes were horrible so bring off or somtheing to repel them. All these are minor things. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little retreat with delightful wildlife. Only suggestion would be to update window coverings in the bathroom.

Visiting from Frisco (North of Dallas Tx) enjoyed Fredericksburg and loved Luckenbach.Wonderful time. Thank you Lindsay for all the great communication. Loved the rocking chairs on the front porch and the 1000’s of firefly’s at sunset. Awesome!!

Spent a couple nights while visiting wineries with my dearest friend. Place quaint & clean, absolutely wonderful surrounding including location. Bed so very comfortable and directions were perfectly given. Thank you for sharing this lovely home!!

Love the vicinity of the cottage to Main Street and also felt like we were close to nature. Deer were resting in the front yard when we arrived and enjoyed watching them during our stay.

Convenient and comfortable

Everything was very nice - just didn't realize how close it was to a very busy street with lots of traffic.

When we first arrived there was a bug issue. We made the call about it and the problem was immediately addressed. Not only is the property comfy and beautiful, but the customer service provided made it even better.

Cute, quiet but close enough to Main Street to shop/eat. The animals around the property are a wonderful addition to the sights. Too cold for the hot tub-maybe next time.

Great location, loved the deer on the property to feed. Cute but not as clean as I would have liked. The house did have all the conveniences.. nice towels, bath room supplies and little kitchen was equipped. Biggest problem was there were no shades on the windows and the house is on a major busy street, could be remedied! And a ful length mirror would have been nice..we rated it a 3 stsrs

This was a very cozy stay with a warm antique feel. The location was walking distance to Main Street. The exterior features and wildlife were nice as well.

We stayed one night and loved it. We sat on the porch and watched the deer, then went for a walk around the neighborhood. We were going to walk the 2 blocks to Main Street, but loved the peace and tranquility of this charming little home so much that we never left. We recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet little get away that is close to everything.
