Ocean View Retreat, Florence/Yachats, OR

This was a fabulous cottage and a beautiful location! Everything was perfect for a retreat from daily life! Robert was kind and very responsive to my needs! I've already booked my next visit!

A happy return for us. This was the perfect port in the storm! The unique and thoughtful furnishings are enclosed by a solidly constructed home so deliciously cozy, and a wonderful perch from which to watch a wild storm.

Our stay on the Oregon Coast was absolutely perfect. The home was spotless, beautifully furnished, and full of character — from the cozy fireplace (stocked with plenty of wood!) to the amazing clawfoot tub that was a dream after a long day of hiking on the beach.What really stood out was the sense of calm and isolation. Tucked away from the noise and stresses of the world, this place felt like a true sanctuary — just the sound of the waves, the crackle of the fire, and the feeling of time slowing down.You can really tell how much care went into creating such a comfortable and welcoming space. The location was ideal — close to the ocean and trails, yet peaceful and private enough to truly unwind.Our host, Robert, was friendly, thoughtful, and made everything effortless from check-in to checkout. We left feeling completely relaxed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend this gem on the coast!

The host checked in on us and invited us for coffee and view some art. The place was so wonderful and we had a day of good weather so just enjoyed the views and total privacy. Fantastic stay.

The property has expansive ocean views as well as mountain and meadow vistas from the windows or from the wrap-around deck. The home is very clean and comfortable, but the seminal feature of the property is it's silent and serene setting. There is wild rosemary growing just outside the living room slider and the landscaping blends into the natural flora seemlessly.

A comfy cottage in an idyllic spot with the most gracious host you could imagine. The property is just moments from a beach. And without leaving the property, you could hike and see a range of views, from deep woods to a sunset on the open ocean. Our time here is always restoring and we will return as often as we can.

The place and view were amazing! Even better than the pictures. Perfect getaway for enjoying the Oregon coast. Sunsets are incredible from on top the hill. It has everything you need to be comfortable. The host, Robert, was very accommodating. Looking forward to going back.

Robert is one of a kind host. His place was the perfect getaway we were looking for and needed. It is perched atop a hill with some great views and privacy for a quiet getaway for two people. It is in a great location too.

Best place on our trip

We had the best time at this little cottage on the hill. Very quiet, peaceful, with light breezes blowing thru the trees. The view of the ocean was fabulous! Our host Robert showed us his gallery with an array of beautiful artistry completed by his Mom. What a fine tribute to her! James was friendly and along with Robert made sure we were comfortable and any needs were attended to.We will be back next year!Barb & Rod S.

Our stay was truly the highlight of our Oregon Coast trip. This property was absolutely magical...ample size for my husband and me with ocean and forest views. Quiet, comfortable, homey, with adorable decor. The highlight was the claw-foot bathtub with the ocean view and the incredible wrap-around deck where we sat and just listened to the birds for hours. Absolutely will be back!

I think this is the 3rd or maybe 4th time I've stayed here and I will definitely keep coming back. The property is tucked into the woods but with incredible views of the Pacific. All of the sitting areas are comfy and inviting, the bathtub is big enough for a very tall person! The hosts are so helpful, gracious, generous, and accessible. This was my first time using the woodstove and what a treat that thing is!! There are paths and forest roads for tranquil hikes and walks right on the property, too.

A very special piece of the PNW. The view of the ocean beyond the trees was breathtaking. The space was very cozy and unique. Well stocked with kitchen goods. And a beautiful deck from which to watch the sunset every night while having dinner.

Loved the cottage overlooking the Pacific. We drove in with wet and foggy weather. When we woke up the next morning the ocean was sparkling under blue skies! The cottage itself is well appointed and very charming. Loved the feeling of being in the forest. I didn’t want to leave.

Quiet, secluded, away from the crowds. Spectacular hillside view of the ocean from a meadow in old growth forest. A comfortable, well appointed cottage that is perfect for a couple’s get away.

A short drive from both Florence and Yachats, surrounded by trees and beautiful natural landscape to explore... This cozy cottage contains some of my favorite artworks and is a genuinely lovely place to stay. Perfect if you'd simply like to hide away! Excellent cookware and facilities are included. I highly recommend bringing your favorite seasonings and making time to pick up some local ingredients, then prepping meals in the comfortable kitchen space. Another favorite of mine is soaking in the clawfoot tub after a long day of exploring!
