Pros: Excellent views Great location for activities Variety of restaurants to choose from - most very good. Cabin grounds area well kept. Thankful for onsite laundry Ocean access and views Cons: No cell service & internet spotty Filthy baseboards, shower walls with hair, bathroom ceiling vent has never been cleaned, cobwebs and spiders behind bed (and one on pillow when we got there). Previous guest Baby Bella wrappers on floor next to bed. Hairs in bed sheets. No oil for cooking as stated and had to buy and leave our olive oil for next guest. 4 darn wash cloths for 2 people for 4 days -doesn't work - (and no I do not want to wash clothes daily, that's not why I'm vacationing). Towels too thick for humid area and they never dry - plus there is no place to hang them to dry. The emergency contact phone landline at the laundry facility does not place your calls through because a guest should also have an access code to make the call go through??? Dishes had been swiped clean and not scrubbed clean. Pillows are lacking protective cover that goes over the pillow before the pillowcase. Used to protect the pillow from getting all stained. These pillows were disgusting and stained from other guest's slobber. We spent 3 hours washing all the bedding and towels (including kitchen) because of the spider and the hairs our 1st night. Recommend only if a through spring cleaning of everything and continued monitoring of cleaning crews as it appears they swipe not clean.
This is our second time staying at the Oregon House and we are scheduling our third! We love that it is peacefully tucked away from the activity of town and the views and beach can’t be beat! We will be back!
The cottage at Oregon House was perfect. Just what I was looking for when I was planning our vacation and looking to visit the Pacific Ocean. The view was amazing. The benches on property were great for enjoying the view. Everything was exactly what we were looking for and we loved our time there.
