Ocean front charming cottage with beach access for family & pet- permit 261009.

The Dolphin Cottage was clean and very well furnished. The hot tub was fantastic, four of spent hours in there every day. Easy walk straight down to the beach. Balconies were relaxing with great view of the ocean and Monterey off in the distance. The beds were very comfortable. We slept like babies. Easy access to Elkhorn Slough for kayaking with otters and seals and Pacific Grove for tide pools, anemones, crabs, starfish. This is a great place. The owner responds immediately to any questions. It’s a home away from home with modern appliances. You’re going to love it!

This is a cozy little home that me and my family enjoyed and had lots of fun. The beach access was so close and we enjoyed the stairs up and down after we had our meals .. LOL.! Ocean view is excellent and we like that we had a feeling of private beach ! Hope we stayed here longer and enjoyed more ! Will definitely come back when we has a chance !

Place was very clean and everything you needed was there. The spiral stair case was hard for the 70 year old me but no problem because we could enter our bedroom from outdoor entrance. The boys had no trouble using stairs to beach but again I struggled after having knee surgery awhile back. Overall great time!

10/10 stay! This cozy oceanfront cottage was the perfect getaway. The views were absolutely breathtaking, the beach access was incredibly convenient, and the entire area was peaceful and surreal. Everything super comfortable, and we especially loved relaxing while listening to the waves. The sunsets at sunset beach did not disappoint and the house gave us the most perfect views! The home felt comfortable, clean, and welcoming — a perfect spot to unwind. Would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing views, really the star of the show. I loved sitting on the upper deck. We appreciated that the place was pet friendly, the hot tub was a bonus, and the bathrooms were all in great shape. There were plenty of beds for our family, and the kitchen was well stocked. The main living area is on the top floor so its hard not to wake up when the first people wake up. The stairs down to the beach were extremely steep but there is always a backup option of walking down the road to the state parks' paved walkway to the beach if needed. We hope to return for sure.

We have stayed at a million California coast homes, and I have never had such a considerate, responsive, and hospitable host. Abi is awesome. The home itself is cozy, very clean, and comfortable. It is not drafty like so many beach homes. Space heaters and extra clean blankets. Great bedding, very comfortable. The spa was fabulous. The primary bedrooms are on the lower floor, connected by a spiral staircase to the upper floor. A person who has mobility issues (or a very tall person) might have a little trouble with that, but it was safe for kids and they LOVED the bunk. The views are unobstructed and breathtaking, in a private lovely neighborhood and the beach is right in front of the home. You can easily access the private beach via a set of steep staircases (which would give a person in good health a reasonable workout but our six and three year old children did great). The location of this home is perfect. We will stay here again hopefully, because it is in easy reach of Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Capitola but not plagued by the busyness of these areas. Our best days were spent just at this home enjoying the beach and views, cooking meals in the lovely kitchen and taking walks around the neighborhood after many hours at the beach.

4 women aged 66 to 76 had a wonderful 4 night stay here. The house is wonderfully quirky -- we spent time just marvelling how it had been built over its early decades. The sky from the hot tub! We took hours long walks on the beach and, yes, we climbed those stairs each day (but only once LOL). WE all agreed we'd book this place again.

Mitra and Adi were wonderful hosts. Their home is beautiful and the views are amazing. The hot tub is a wonderful place to watch the gorgeous sunsets. The park at the bottom of the hill has a ramp down to the beach, or you can go a little further down the road to the sand dunes.Thank you Adi and Mitra for a wonderful and relaxing week.

This cottage is a cosey, quiet, and private place with incredible ocean views. It has a well equipped kitchen, all the linens, towels and/or blankets you need, and many games and books. We especially enjoyed walking on the uncrowded and sometimes totally private beach. In addition to small families, I highly recommend it for couples. It was a great and romantic getaway for us.

Wow! Where do I start there are so many great things to say about this beach home and the host’s who allowed us to stay. Adi and Mitra are amazing very helpful and even reached out to make sure all is well during our stay. The home was very clean when we arrived and quite comfy and cozy. The views from the balcony are stunning. We even saw a few whales go by on our last day. The beach is amazing and at times it feels like it’s your own private beach as there are very few people around. The walk down to the beach is a breeze, it’s the stair climb back up the hill of which seems to be 100 steps that gets ya. So prepare yourself for that one. Our kids and the dog as well as my wife and I had an amazing time.Thank you so much Adi and Mitra for allowing us to stay in your home. Hope to do it again in the near future.

Great property! Great views! Lots of steps

The view....cannot top this one....up high but very close to the crashing waves! Private stairs to a beach that you only see a few people walking by....very private and quiet. The rental was so fun...they have thought of everything and it was just relaxation time. Very clean and you can smell that it was clean. Side note...the rental is in distance for Door Dashing from Watsonville....huge plus if you dont have enough umph left after a busy day. On our short list of must go back places for us. 6 stars if it was avaliable!

What a fantastic beach cottage. It was spotless, the views are spectacular, and it had easy access to the beach (you can take the stairs from the actual house or take the ramp from the state park entry). I hope to stay again soon!

This house is so cute! And right on the water! We’re so glad we brought binoculars because we could see the whales from the window, which really got us excited for our whale watch. House had all the amenities, and heaters for when it’s chilly. If you plan on going down to the water, you better be ready for a glute workout because there are over 100 stairs to the beach. There are two parking spaces, but if you have an SUV, you will need to take both spaces on diagonal. My only complaint is that the sheets on the downstairs queen bed or synthetic and not cotton.

The ocean view, hot tub & beach access was my reason for selecting this property. And it delivered! Comfortable living & sleeping areas. Quiet area & dog friendly. We had a great vacation here.

My family and I celebrated my birthday by spending time at Sunset beach. The home is in a great location with stunning views and has many amenities including a nice hot tub. My granddaughter loved staying with her parents and having a bed above them.We struggled a bit to warm up the home, especially one of the bedrooms that has no heater. The owner provides lots of blankets to remedy this somewhat.Overall we had a fun weekend and enjoyed staying in this beach home.

Perfect location! Not for those that are out of shape! Lots of stairs

Overall we had a great stay and the hosts were very responsive. The location was peaceful and we could sit on the deck and watch the waves or walk down to the beach every day of our stay. Other perks, the hosts had decorated for the holidays, so we were able to just show up and enjoy. When it was chillier outside, we loved that we could turn on the fire place and enjoy the flicker or going in the hot tub.Location was great for day trips to Santa Cruz, Monterey and Moss Landing. The only minor challenge is that my partner is 6'5 and the downstairs bathroom and one of the bedrooms (as noted by the host) is not ideal for taller folks/ has a beam that my partner had to be mindful of. We also chose to bring luggage to the lower level using the outside staircase rather than the interior spiral staircase.

Loved our stay at the cottage. It was a perfect weekend to start the New Year with our little family. House was cute, did multiple walks on the beach, and ended with watching the stars from the hot tub. Great experience!

The house was very nice and met our needs for relaxing and enjoying the coast.

Kitchen and living area had lovely views and all of the amenities for cooking. The house was clean and easy to get to. Central location made it easy to explore Santa Cruz as well as Monterey. Fresh strawberries were available as there are fields everywhere. The stairs down to the bedrooms are steep and tricky but not a deal breaker. We enjoyed the hot tub on the cool Foggy mornings and evenings.

The home is in a quiet neighborhood above a beautiful section of the Monterey Bay. We walked for hours along the beach and only came across small groups of people. It’s an amazing home away from the packed beaches in Santa Cruz.
