After a day of wine tasting and exploring all that the Traverse City has to offer, this lakefront home is the perfect home-base for couples, small groups, or families to enjoy Up North or spend the whole day on the lake!

*ABOUT THE PROPERTY*
120 ft of beautiful and firm sandy frontage on Spider Lake, perfect for swimming and boating! 15 minutes from downtown Traverse City's shops, restaurants, beaches, and activities: this home is the perfect vacation getaway.

The ideal home for couples, small groups or families: the house has an open floor plan with TWO living areas and lakefront views from every room. There’s a large deck with a modern fire table, grill, and plenty of room for seating with an elevated, truly beautiful view of the lake; Custom sauna located on the upper deck; and a cozy lower deck right at the water’s edge where you can watch the wildlife, swim, or take our kayaks out for a cruise.

Our home has all the amenities you need to make your vacation feel like home-away-from-home: coffee maker, kitchen essentials, washer/dryer, lightning-fast WiFi, and with plenty of towels and linens. We even provide shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap to keep your suitcase a little lighter! There are two spacious bedrooms as well as a pull-out sofa in the lower level living room to accommodate a slightly larger group. A total of 1,300 finished sq ft is all yours. We provide fans in every bedroom and a window A/C unit in the upstairs bedroom as well for those extra hot summer days.

*ABOUT SPIDER LAKE*
Spider Lake is a 459 Acre All Sports Lake with big sections for water-skiing and tubing, small coves for fishing, and a couple islands and sandbars. 'Fast boating' is allowed only between 11:00 am - 7: 30 pm, so the morning and evening are quiet. Many of the coves are no-wake zones all day and great for fishing any time. With lots of bays and coves, you can find somewhere new to explore every day!

*WINE TOURS*
Traverse City is known for its wineries! If you drive up Old Mission or Leelanau Peninsula, there are several wineries to stop by every few miles. Take your own car (& a designated driver!) and have a leisurely drive or book a private or join-in group tour! Many wine tour companies pick-up and drop-off at vacation rentals around the area. Reach out to us before check-in to help plan your trip!

*WINTER SPORTS*
The Winter Sports VASA Singletrack includes more about 10 miles of groomed trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, biking or running, and can be accessed just a few miles from the property. The Michigan DNR Designated Snowmobile Trails can also be accessed just a few miles from the home.

Snowshoe at local wineries, enjoy heated dining in private igloos, and come back to enjoy an evening warming up in the sauna!

Very nice views. The house is nice also. Just needed 1 TV upstairs. Walked the road and neighbors were friendly. Saw deer! Sauna was a great extra. The morning lake view was beautiful

This is a very cute house. It's quiet, quaint, inviting, and fully stocked. The sauna is absolutely lovely. I recommend a sauna and jump in the lake! The lake is clean, calm, and excellent for paddling the kayaks around. They are tied up a hill to a tree and a bit hard to get down. But it's 100% worth it.

Easy check in. Derek the host responded to all our questions. We enjoyed the cottage, the dock for fishing, kayaks and the bonus sauna. We plan on returning.

The cleanest VRBO property I have ever stayed in!!! The picture of the bottle of wine, bag of coffee and bag of candy as a welcome gift is deceiving we did not receive it. On our way in we did not buy coffee or wine because we were expecting those upon our arrival.

Stayed with our 1-year old, my husband, and my in laws. View from the kitchen is gorgeous. Shallow beach at the lake was a perfect depth for my toddler to splash. We made great use of the kayaks, grill, washer/dryer, and well-stocked kitchen. Location is perfect to have both a relaxing, quiet view and access to all Traverse City has to offer. Upstairs bedroom was a good size to fit a pack n play and they had a baby gate that we were able to use (although it was a little tricky to set up-- you might be better served bringing your own). We did bring our own toddler life jacket, but they had child-sized and adult-sized life jackets available in the shed. We would 100% stay again. Two call-outs to make sure others enjoy their stay as much as we did: -Lots of stairs down to the water (obvious in photos). Would be very difficult for mobility-compromised individuals. -My in-laws ended up splitting across two beds in the basement as opposed to sharing lower bunk.
