Very clean, quiet, and welcoming property. Our host was more than hospitable and communication was excellent. My wife and I highly recommend this as your next stay, you won't be disappointed!

Rodney was very helpful answering questions. The house is in a great location, within walking distance to town for Resturants & stores. I would suggest to buy groceries before arriving as there are no big chain of stores, or small stores. Due to the small cottage not being ready for guests, Rodney graciously upgraded us to the main house. The main house was enormous & we really enjoyed the extra space as the cottage is very small. Our dog enjoyed the waterview while sitting on the upstairs deck. This house is dated, but clean & would work great for families. Thank you Rodney for all your help ! Lisa, Rick & Bruno

I do not like to give bad reviews; however, calling this newly renovated is deceptive. Possibily, it is the exterior they are referring to. The interior leaves much to be desired. It is dreary, could use a good scrubbing (placing a paper label across a toilet that says sanitized means nothing)....there was dust and animal (?) hair on the books, the window blinds had broken slats that allowed the light from the adjacent house to shine through during the night, the windows were dirty, the screens were dirty and had holes through them (luckily, it wasn't summer & we didn't need to open the windows, allowing bugs in). The kitchen was a hotplate, but there was a microwave. Glasses and plates looked dirty (I washed everything we used prior to using it)On to some positives: the heating worked very well, the bed was comfortable, linens and towels were clean, the location was very convenient. I will not re-book this location.

Super cozy and AMAZING location. It was perfect for a Small Cabin style stay. Extremely cozy and romantic stay for a weekend for a good price. It's right in the middle of everything and it's walkable to most of the restaurants on main street.I'd say it's important to know what to expect here. It's not a Marriott. It's not a luxury glamping cabin. It's a cute small guest house with a similar old-timey charm to the rest of the town. And we both really enjoyed that. If you're looking for a perfectly clean and maintained luxury stay, this isn't it. If you're looking for a cute cozy vibe that feels like you're a part of the town, it's perfect.

The good: -Actually larger than expected. Good for couple, or small family, and they allow dogs.-Location is awesome. Right next door to Amarin coffee shop, which has amazing pastries. Almost everything but the beach within walking distance.-Nice little yard (unfenced)-Clean linens included -No real 'kitchen', but has fridge, sink, and usual appliances. The Not-so-good: -The shower is TINY. Like a small RV shower. It was almost, but not quite, impossible to use. Jokingly nicknamed it the NudeTube. -Definitely needs serious deep clean. Counters were sticky, dirt and dog hair in the corners, floors were sandy. Excessive multiple plug-in air fresheners in small space. Faint but noticeable smell of old dog pee if you turn the AC/air purifier off and open windows. Mold in shower. Cobwebs. -Water was shut off on 5th day of week long stay at around 5pm. Response from host was slow. Minimal troubleshooting. Offer of alternative accommodation/info came late that night, and we were not able to get in due to issue with lock. No reply from host until we were elsewhere for the night. Ended up staying with relatives for last two nights. Had to contact Vrbo for refund of last two nights.Overall, not a bad place if you don't mind some initial cleaning/structural imperfections/ can fit in shower. We were willing to overlook a lot because it was affordable, allowed dogs, and was centrally located, but the water issue was a huge inconvenience that could have been handled better.

Perfect for my needs. It was just me, taking a quick getaway to Chincoteague. Very cute, nothing fancy, but just as good as a hotel room. Can’t beat this for the price! I was really happy with it. Very good location - right near the bridge to view the sunset; walking distance to several shops & restaurants. It was just as pictured in the listing. The shower is pretty small, as mentioned in another review. Not an issue for me, but for a larger person, it could be a little challenging. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked this cottage for a family vacation for our family of 4; two adults, two older kids, and two small dogs. Yes, the cottage is small but we actually thought it was larger and nicer than the pictures. The cottage was clean upon arrival. Well stocked kitchenette, air conditioning worked well. It is similar to staying in a hotel room except you have your own space with no neighbors! Some points to note:It had a somewhat private outdoor area with a grill. The addition of chairs and picnic table and fire pit would make it perfect! The bathroom shower stall is small. It could be challenging if you are a larger person. No one in our family is that tall so it was not an issue for us.Amarin, a coffee and bakery is right behind it. This place is amazing!! Ending up getting coffee and pastry everyday.Overall excellent stay and my family had a wonderful time in Chinoteague. Would stay here again.

The place was not clean at all upon arrival. My wife went and bought cleaning supplies to clean the place. The bed sheets were dirty as well as the clean ones in the closet. Trash bags piled outside the front door that appeared to be there for some time because the grass was obviously mowed around them numerous times. I think if the owner spruced up a little more details on the inside and kept it very clean it could definitely charge more but until these things happen I wouldn't recommend this place it's obviously not taken care of. Old and outdated is fine if the place is spotless clean. Good spot other wise.

It was a tool shed in the backyard of a house, literally. It was so small, I couldn’t sit down on the bed without hitting my head on the wall. It had a bunch of small appliances along outside wall and some didn’t work, 3 coffee makers. 2 AC units, one was on the floor with a large white tube duct taped out through a window. Full of spiders and webs. It SMELLED terrible of mildew and/or sewage. It was the cheapest room on the island for a reason.

The first issue was the check-in process. Supposedly we were supposed to receive check-in information automatically, but we did not. I messaged the host the day before check-in and didn't hear anything back. I then called the contact number, he answered right away and gave us the info over the phone. He was polite and didn't make me feel as though we were bothering him. When we arrived the house was easy to find and had plenty of parking. The house landscaping and inside the house was a little misrepresented by the pictures in the ad. I know it said newly renovated, but it appeared to have been done some time ago. We are Landlord/Property Managers so we understand the wear and tear on places, but you should update the listing with appropriate pictures. Other than these two things which were somewhat easy to overlook because of the location and being pet friendly we would definitely stay here again. The best coffee shop was right next door, not the one across the street. If you are in decent shape everything is in walking distance too. Maybe someday we'll be back.
