When you drive through the gates, from the church square, you will appreciate the inner courtyard, the immaculately maintained grounds and thedriveway lined with hundred year old plane trees. The cottage was built in the 1700s and was the former guardian’s home when the manor was owned firstly by a wealthy merchant, Joseph Mercier; then the governor of the Ivory Coast; and then by the Bardot-Canale family.

Private parking is available in the square in front of the gates to the Manor or within the grounds, next to the cottage.

NB The manor itself is a second home for the current owners who live in the UK. They may be present on site, but their outside living space is found on the other side of the manor, and the cottage remains completely private and independent. The grounds are not part of the cottage or the rental except for access, as it has its own private terrace.
