Stayed Aug 19, 2024Lovely stay in a very quiet location. Tricky to find initially but once you know …. Gite was well equipped with everything needed to cook meals for ourselves. Location good for visiting area as accessible from motorway. Didn’t meet hosts but that wasn’t an issue. The cat popped over to see us!

Stayed May 9, 2019We decided upon a short notice, 2 night stay in northern France and found this gem of a cottage in Marquis. It is only 12 miles or so from the Channel Tunnel. The cottage is attached to the owners house, a very pleasant, friendly and approachable family eager to ensure that everything is okay in relation to your stay. The cottage is set back up a cutting leading off a main thoroughfare resulting in it being quiet and private. There is ample parking space on the street. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is a wet room negating the need for any mopping up following use of the shower. The decking area at the rear of the cottage has a table, chairs and sun loungers which were put to good use during our stay. The town centre is a five minute walk with the usual bars, butchers and bakers shop. Main supermarkets (Intermarche, Aldi, Lidl) are a five minute drive whilst Carrefour is closer to the town centre. Our trip was for a specific purpose and we have been to this region several times however had we been seeking to explore the surrounding area then Boulogne, Le Touquet and Montreuil are all within 30-40 minutes drive. All in all an excellent short break which was reasonably priced. Thank you Mnsr & Mde HOCQUET.

Stayed Mar 23, 2019Charming host welcomed us to a well decorated and equipped lovely cottage. Such a peaceful setting, very relaxing. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again. This area is so pretty with sleepy villages, beautiful beaches and many cycle tracks. Worth exploring further.
