Stayed Dec 30, 2024My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with a 2 week stay at the Nautilus Studio - Calabash. The tiny cottage was cute, clean and had every we needed for a relaxing, laid back stay. Internet connection was good and we enjoyed watching movies in the evenings on Netflix. It was such a beautiful quiet location right on the beach and steps from the ocean. It’s next to another larger cottage but feels fairly private due to the shade of the large Seagrape tree. On the other side is an empty lot with shrubs and brush. We cooked most of our own meals (or grabbed take-out from Heritage Kitchen) and ate on the deck while gazing at the ocean and listening to the waves! It was hard to pry ourselves away to go sightseeing or scuba diving …as the beach views and sunsets were so wonderful that we didn’t want to leave! We loved just hanging out on the deck. There is snorkelling right out front...and if you swim (or paddle board) even further out (towards the Kittiwake wreck) there is even more spectacular underwater scenery. We saw spotted eagle rays, turtles, and schools of colourful fish. The location is close to a large grocery store with everything you could need and was a short drive from some amazing shore diving sites. We met the owner and caretakers who live across the street. They were kind and helpful. This was our first visit to Grand Cayman and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage. We definitely hope to return in the not too distant future!
