Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoyed our Easter holiday at Myrtle Cottage. A particular highlight is the kitchen area and the sunny terraced garden. Would recommend.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our second time staying at Myrtle Cottage and it was just as fabulous as our first holiday in Sep 21. The cottage is perfectly positioned for short drives to Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Southwold and the other lovely coastal locations of Suffolk. We took our dog and thoroughly enjoyed the coastal and country walks available. I would definitely use Myrtle Cottage again if we return to Suffolk in the future.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Myrtle cottage mixes classic cottage feel and modern features exquisitely. Set in a wonderful location, near to some of the most picturesque parts of Suffolk, it is an ideal holiday cottage. The great local pub is only 300m walk away and Aldeburgh is just a 5 minute drive. Parking is a bit awkward, but it is only a 20m walk along a nice path before you enter the wonderful front garden of the cottage. This cottage is so good we have already booked again for next year. Highly recommended.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a unique property, nicely converted from what was a small cottage into an easy-living space that combines original features with the convenience of modern living. It would comfortably accommodate six adults in the three bedrooms and two bathrooms and with only two of us staying, we had plenty of space. The garden and outside spaces are very well designed and maintained, although the largely unguarded drop from the upper level at the back did cause us some initial consternation about the safety of our dogs. They and we got used to it but parents would need to be vigilant.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Myrtle cottage is hidden down a little path from a typical Suffolk church. You enter through a beech archway into a small but perfect garden . The cottage is cosy at the front and then opens out into a light filled kitchen and dining area. We were able to have breakfasts and evening drinks on the raised patio area at the back whilst listening to the birds sing. The cottage doesn’t feel like a holiday rental but a much loved home with lovely crockery and books and ornaments which have been bought for love rather than merely to decorate. Unfortunately one of our party ended up in hospital whilst we were there and the small community around us were amazing in their care and concern, particularly Mike who drove us to hospital. It is heartening to know these kind people still exist. When the owner found out he immediately offered to drive over an hour to us if there was anything he could do. Thank you to all those wonderful people who made a difficult time more than bearable. When our friend’s leg is mended we hope to come back again and fully enjoy the charms of Myrtle cottage.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A lovely cottage in a nice, quiet location with very friendly locals. A very pretty 5 minute walk down Church Path to the local pub. Very well located for Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, RSPB Minsmere, Sutton Hoo, Rendlesham forest, Orford Ness, Southwold etc. A high-end, picturesque cottage and garden, very comfy with a nice mix of traditional and modern furnishings. It was nice to have the opportunity to sit outside on the patio. A weather related issue we had with the cottage was quickly and efficiently dealt with by the owner. We would certainly return to the cottage and would recommend it to others.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969After the year we have all had this was a special break for my parents-in-law. On arrival Mrs Flower, my mother-In-law, asked me if we were in the right cottage. The smile on her face was a delight. Location is very good, with Saxmundham only a short drive away for your food shop, Waitrose and Tesco. Plus an excellent Fish n Chips Take-Away on the main high street. Amazing butchers in Aldeburgh, Salter and King. Plus the Noon tarts from the Smoke House, just perfect. The front garden is just beautiful and the perfect spot for a sundowner, weather permitting. But we did manage on most days. I look forward to returning with my parents as I know they will love it just as much as Mrs Flower.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Cottage is lovely inside and out being very bright & sunny and in such a quiet location where all you can hear is birdsong whether you are sitting in the garden or walking the fields that surround the village. It’s also convenient to be such a short car journey to the sea. Will definitely be going to this holiday cottage again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Myrtle is a lovely cottage in a beautiful place. The kitchen is a wonderful place to start the day, with a coffee, no matter what the weather is like. One of the best places I have stayed in the UK.
