Beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay. The house was nice but could use some updating and needs a deep cleaning, particularly the blankets. Careful if you have allergies. My wife is good with pets after taking medication (we have a dog), but she could feel them flaring up when in the house.

The views were absolutely amazing. The Host responded quickly and was super helpful with everything. The house was fully stocked, it had everything I needed to cook Christmas dinner. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets. The yard is amazing and the back deck is where we pretty much stayed when we weren't eating or watching Christmas movies! I would recommend it and hopefully I will get to come back soon.

It was absolutely beautiful. I wish we could have enjoyed the home for longer. Watching the sunset from the balcony was breathtaking, and we loved being able to use the fire pit when we got back from our hike and just relax. The host was very friendly, and very kind to provide pamphlets for sight seeing, and very organized and clear with checkin/check out instructions!

The cottage was a drive from Black Mountain but we expected that, just with the road issues it took a bit longer than expected although no one’s fault. There was progress during the week we were there. Cottage was cozy and a relaxing experience. My only big issue was the cleanliness. I did reach out to the property manager on day two and she offered to refund if we wanted to check out the following morning but it would have been too difficult to find another place on such short notice so we stayed. Basics like the tub, toilets, overall kitchen cleanliness, beds etc. were fine but the place really needs some deep cleaning as it appears to have been “let go”. Things like cleaning the doors (magic erasers work wonders), some walls, oven, rugs, cobwebs, edges around the floors in all rooms, windows, etc needs some attention. There was a new gas grill in used several times which was great. The view is stunning no doubt which is what drew us in, just wish I had felt a bit more comfortable with the cleanliness. Might also consider updating the furniture especially in the living room. Thanks.

Such a clean, charming, and cozy home! Gorgeous view, exactly like the photos. It is a bit far from a grocery store, so the snacks that were generously provided were a treat on my first night. The area was heavily effected by Hurricane Helene, so it's humbling to see all of the damage against the backdrop of these beautiful mountains. Black mountain was about 35 minutes away, it's a nice drive and plenty to do once you are there. My time at Morning Glory was just the recharge I was hoping for. I would absolutely return for another long weekend. Thank you for the hospitality! Side note: The road getting to the cabin was a bit difficult to drive on. Highly recommend having four wheel or all wheel drive.

The house was very quaint and the porch and view were amazing! The kitchen was well equipped but the fridge did take a long while to cool down however and the quilt on the master suite bed smelled like Ben-Gay, assuming the last renter wore it and it wasnt washed. Property description should note that an SUV is necessary to travel the roads. I know the area has been through a lot, but a warning would be great. Overall, great house and we had a nice time visiting.

Comfy, peaceful, and clean house with all the amenities. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are double/full with one room having an en-suite bathroom. The second bathroom is in the hall. Both are full bathrooms with shower/tub. Fully equipped kitchen with plenty of cups, plates, pots and pans, silverware and cutlery, kitchen linens; regular coffee maker as well as pod-loading coffee machine; microwave, stove/oven, and full fridge. Washer and dryer are included. The view is breathtaking from the back deck and is a perfect place to sit and relax. Small front porch is nice for sitting outside and watching the rain. Wi-Fi signal is decent. Good signal from the house. Cellular signal is decent. You may lose signal while traveling down the mountain but it picks back up once you are lower down.Only caveat is that they are still recovering from Helene. Most of the roads are fine but the road up to the house, Shulmont Road, is still being fixed. Some small sections are one lane under construction but the road crew has it set up very well with lights that allow you to pass safely. Note that this is written June 28, 2025. I’m sure they will have all of this fixed before long.We found Morning Glory Cottage to be the perfect place to stay while we visited Asheville and the surrounding area. The mountains are glorious!! The cottage felt like home!

Absolutely lovely. Great night views, fire pit. The Fire TVs were great for streaming and the satellite internet had plenty of speed. We appreciated the snacks too - we saw that Poppy popcorn all over town and got to try it before we left.

The pictures on the listing are what drew us to this beautiful secluded cottage and we were not disappointed! We enjoyed the quiet seclusion and breathtaking views. We enjoyed a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway for more mountain views and stopped for good food at My Father's Pizza, (We ate there more than once). And we enjoyed a visit from a small black bear. We had a good view of her from our dining room window. We highly recommend the Morning Glory Cottage!

We recently stayed at Morning Glory Cottage, and it was a very enjoyable experience. The mountain views were stunning, especially in the mornings, and we appreciated the peacefulness of the location. The back deck was a great spot to relax and take in the scenery. The cottage is tucked away in a secluded area, which made for a quiet and restful stay. The wildlife around the property added to the charm. It was also convenient to be just a short drive away from Chimney Rock State Park and Lake Lure. Overall, Morning Glory Cottage provided a comfortable and private getaway, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the mountains.

Very peaceful and scenic getaway. Our family and 2 dogs were looking for some nature time and Erin's property was a great fit. Plenty of space and the kitchen was well appointed which is very appreciated. Would definitely consider this location again next time we're in the area.
