Stayed Dec 31, 1969Cottage was clean and warm, but needed fire in the evening. I think it would have been nice to have been left at least a few logs and kindling, and there were only 4 matches in the cottage!. It was rather small for two people, unless they are fairly intimate, or at least very good friends.Beds comfortable and kitchen equipment ok. Most places we have stayed before have had a welcome pack. Not expecting much and realise we were self catering, but there was only salt and pepper, and no sugar. Courtyard suitable for dogs but the gate latch was stiff and if left undone, dogs could have escaped straight onto the main road. Would possibly not consider staying there again, with two dogs and proximity to the main road.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Very cold at night, storage radiators useless after 4pm. A few coals and 3 damp logs had been left for our first night, clearly these didn't catch, wouldn't have affected the freezing bedrooms, going to bed was torture! Quite frankly this cottage is unsuitable for a winter letting. PS: A basic welcome pack of tea, coffee and milk would have been appreciated, I'd suggest this is standard practice.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Mill House Cottage is tucked away in a quite location so much so it is not easy to find. The kitchen is well equipped and the cottage was clean apart from some stains on the carpet in the sitting room.We would stay there again but the owner needs to address some issues before we would stay again. I.E: Damp in the Kitchen by the cooker and damp in the bathroom next to the shower. The open fire needs a grate to have a effective fire( I had to improvise to get a good fire). When using the beds in the winter you need a winter weight duvet not a summer weight. The night store heaters give out good heat in the morning but by early afternoon are only luke warm so you are reliant on the open fire to provide evening heat.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Cottage was perfect, lovely and cosy to return to after a drizzly day on the beach A supply of wood/coal for the first evening would have been great. Fantastic location to walk to the beach and Ship in for a tasty meal.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Overall the locality and area is beautiful. However we were disappointed from the start with the property. The outside area badly needed a tidy and clean. The conservatory was grubby and green too. Outside furniture in a small corner was broken. There is no central heating- just dated storage heaters- some with worn/broken controls. It was cold the first night and there was no fire fuel left for us to use as stated in the description. Supplies were low too. Decor was ok - a little dated especially the bathroom and kitchen. The kettle was bunged up badly with lime scale- either de scale it on cleaning or replace now and then. Why leave old curtain rail holders up? and cables hanging off the wall? It's quite small too. If kitted out and up to date we wouldn't have minded but overall for the price we paid, it wasn't good enough. We have stayed in the North East in properties twice the size and contemporary and clean for the same price.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Mill hose cottage is in an excellent position. Accommodation is however basic and tired. There was also mould on the kitchen wall. There is a small shared court yard ( the only entry for Mill house cottage) that is shared by one other property. The court yard is also directly overlooked by a large kitchen window of an additional adjoining property. We took our Labrador with us - and took her out of the court yard to relieve herself. The person in the accommodation also sharing the court yard allowed his dog to foul in this shared space - and whilst he eventually cleared it up - it was not pleasant to look at.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We found the cottage well presented, comfortable and spotless in a quiet location. The conservatory was an added bonus. Unfortunately we found no visitors book, nor local walking maps. A few tips for location of everyday requirements would have been very helpful - we never did find a fish and chip shop! A couple of points of maintenance maybe helpful The chimney requires sweeping The appliances and plugs possibly require testing Richard & Linda Nr felixstowe Suffolk

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The cottage was very satisfactory although there were problems with the electrics that kept fusing when putting on the external light. Dishwasher did not clean items and had to re wash. Above were reported to you directly, but did not detract from our enjoyment of the cottage and the location. It should have been made clearer that there was no where to park. The seating was uncomfortable for spending an evening in. It would have been nice to have had some logs for the fire for the first night as arrival was late on. However, we did enjoy our stay very much and would certainly consider booking again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a very happy stay in this cottage with our dog. We enjoyed our stay and found the cottage to be very clean, homely and convenient. For dog owners there is a shared courtyard. The people who share the courtyard were only there at the weekends and have a dog too so there were no worries about the gate being left open. Brancaster is a lovely village. It only has a pub and all other facilities are a drive away. The gorgeous beach via the salt marshes is only a 15 minute walk away. It was a great place to get to know and also to use as a base to explore the coast in either direction.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I WROTE A WEEK AGO COMPLAINING THAT THE PARKING PROBLEM WAS NOT ADDRESSED IN THE DESCRIPTIVE BRIEF OF THE PROPERTY. I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS PROBLEM UNTIL I HAD PAID AND RECEIVED DIRECTIONS. AS AT PRESENT I AM PARTIALLY DISABLED AND WOULD NOT HAVE RENTED THIS PARTICULAR PROPERTY HAD I KNOWN. BUT THE FACT THAT I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE ABOUT THIS AND ANOTHER SLIGHT PROLEM, AND BEING A CLIENT THAT HAS RENTED SEVERAL PROPERTIES OF THE PAST FEW YEARS, I FEEL I DESERVED BETTER.
