Stayed Jan 1, 1We stayed here for Four nights over the Christmas period. The cottage was in an excellent location, so peaceful and quiet. It had a well equipped kitchen to enable us to make a full Christmas dinner. The cleanliness and comfort could not be faulted and we will most definitely stay again. The treats that were left for us were really appreciated.

Stayed Jan 1, 1The cottage was immaculate home from home. Could not fault it. Ings central to all main tourist attractions also lovely walks. If I had one negative it would be that it was supposed to be dog friendly. The garden shared and not totally secure. Also you have steps up to patio and little grassed area with at least a 7ft drop. We had to be with our dog on a lead as he thought it would be good to try and jump off the wall and also get into the field with the sheep. Would we go again yes, but not with the dog. Again lovely central home from home.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Lovely cottage, spotless everything you could need, close to buses and local pub, although up a bit of a hill back up. The only thing that could be changed would be a little fence at back between the two cottages as although this is a dog friendly cottage, we let our little dog out in the back for 5 minutes, we were supervising him but he lady knocked from the office at the end of the two cottages and asked us to get him in as she had a Labrador, she was pleasant and polite about it, but it made me uneasy to let our dog out again Still had a lovely stay

Stayed Jan 1, 1This was our second visit to Mill Cottage, which was even more enjoyable due to a few small changes which had been made since our previous visit 18 months ago.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a fabulous weeks stay in Mill Cottage, based in Ings. We had never stayed here before, but we will definitely return. It is placed in a friendly village, next to a peaceful private caravan site. The lambs and sheep make more noise than the park, so it’s not a problem, and being able to have nature on our doorstep was a bonus. We were able to relax and enjoy the area and we found Ings to be perfectly situated to explore the whole area. Information and communication from Tarn and Fell escapes was excellent, they even called the week before, to ensure we had a smooth check in, which was easy. The cottage was beautifully clean and well cared for, and had everything we needed for a great weeks stay. We will definitely return.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We have previously stayed at Ings Mill Park but were attracted to Mill Cottage due to the very reasonable price. We weren't disappointed. The cottage was spot on in terms of cleanliness and facilities. Ross and his colleagues are doing a fantastic job and were very helpful and informative. The area is great for the local pub just opposite and Windermere is only 3 miles away We will certainly be back in 2026.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Another great week at Mill Cottage. Can't fault it. Ross is a really helpful host who ensures that everything is ready for you on arrival. The cottage is warm and cosy and has everything you could need for a self catering holiday. The weather wasn't kind to us but it didn't stop us getting out and about on the very efficient bus service. The Watermill pub was as good as usual - would recommend the pub quiz on Wednesday night. We will definitely be back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a lovely week at Mill Cottage. Everything was clean and we had all the home comforts required. The weather was kind and there's lots of places within driving distance to visit with lots of good hiking. The local pub was cosy and inviting. Overall I'd recommend a stay here.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Clean, comfortable and well located cottage in a pretty and very quiet spot. There were just a few little things which need attention, some of which might not bother other guests! We love our TV in the evenings so an upgrade to a Smart TV would be a great addition. We managed by using the DVD player (batteries need replacing in remote) and buying a few of our favourite films from a charity shop. The shaver point in the bathroom didn't work so our electric toothbrush ran out of power just before the end of the week and the bowls are so small we couldn't fit 2 Weetabix in, but these are tiny things which obviously didn't spoil our stay. My biggest issue as a first timer in the Lakes was the lack of a visitor book (sorry if there was one but I couldn't find it!). I really depend on previous guest's recommendations when staying somewhere new so it was a shame there wasn't one. The pub across the road was great, we went on Wednesday because it's their quiz night, lovely food and really good fun. Overall a lovely cottage in such peaceful surroundings, thank you for a great week.
