Stayed Oct 1, 2025We usually visit the area once a year to see family. We travel from Alabama. We came upon this jewel four or five years ago. We love the cottage so much we try to stay here each year when we come. The cottage is private, clean and very quiet. The yard and landscaping are beautiful. It’s just very peaceful and serene.The area is full of history and the cottage is located so that you can travel easily to visit many of the historic areas near by.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our third time to stay at the property it is such a unique place. It is very private, clean and well stocked. We stay here when we visit our family in PA. We always hope it will be available when we go for a visit.

Stayed Aug 1, 2023We were renting while in town for a business trip. This is a wonderful property. It was great to be able to make our own meals instead of going out for every meal. We didn't have a lot of extra time for recreation and exploring but this was a nice central location for everything we were able to do. I would have no problems staying here again if I'm ever back in the area.

Stayed Jun 8, 2023I was in town for an event at Mercersburg Academy. This was the perfect location as I was able to walk back and forth to campus. The backyard is a peaceful oasis. The communication with the owner was timely and helpful.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I can't say enough at how comfortable and cozy this cottage was! We felt right at home. I was able to make cookies for my kids and their friends, walk right from the place to town and get hot coffee, we watched movies and played games. I was the perfect weekend getaway at the most charming of places. thank you for a lovely weekend.

Stayed Jun 2, 2022This is such a quaint little cottage. We loved staying here. It was like stepping into a fairy garden. The house is roomy and comfortable with a lot of extras. The back deck is so relaxing with your morning coffee and great for games in the evening. The canopy from the trees add coolness and such interest. Many birds and squirrels to enjoy as well. There is a good Mexican restaurant right across the street we tried out, a grocery store less than 5 minutes away, historic downtown is a recommended walk and with all this when you are back at your cottage you feel secluded and is a great quiet place to relax. We grilled steaks on the grill and enjoyed a superb meal outside under the pergola. Beds are comfy and pantry well stocked. Got to meet Meg, very nice and accommodating. Again we enjoyed our time here very much!! Thank you for a much needed get away!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Fantastic three night stay with family. Highlights include proximity to whitetail, fire pit, wood stove, large private property. Will stay again. Well stocked.

Stayed Feb 4, 2022Cozy and comfortable historic cabin that was within a convenient drive to Whitetail resort. The only thing that I would recommend is not utilizing a strong-scented air freshener within the cabin or scented laundry detergent on the linens. It really can be quite overpowering for some! Otherwise, the small touches of providing food and essentials was quite nice. Thank you, would definitely book again.
