Perfect location to relax, get away from the stress of the city and reset. Beach wasn’t crowded at all. Wild horses came up to the house a couple days. Loved taking drives on the beach and trails.

Loved the location!! Far enough off of the beach but close to the blacktop. The layout of the house is perfect. Very cozy; feels like home away from home. Had everything you need except the groceries!! This was our first week vacation in about 13 years and the first with our pup. We couldn’t have picked a better house.

This was an absolutely phenomenal house/location!! The house is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and has everything you need (washer/dryer, clothesline for drying beach wear, hose for rinsing off beach accessories, and an outdoor shower - Kim & Jim thought of everything)! We had a wonderful time and we are still blown away at the beauty of the horses and Corolla!!! This is an absolute must and amazing experience. Kim & Jim were wonderful when we text to ask for suggestions for seafood markets and restaurants. They are highly responsive, very kind/friendly, and awesome hosts!!! THANK YOU again!

It was a quiet, relaxing stay the house was perfect for my husband and I and our 2 dogs!! We had a visit from 2 of the wild horses. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Newer construction and owner is super attentive. I’ve stayed in 5 or 6 different houses in the 4x4 area and this one had the best water by far.

This place accommodated our family of 5 (one of which was our fur child). Perfect for us, as we have two young children and the accessibility to drive right down to the other end of the lane to the beach made it easy! House and everything inside and out was just as described. We would definitely stay again! Thank you, John and Kim, for everything!!

This home is truly magical! Location, cleanliness, cheeriness, how it's decorated are all top notch. We loved everything about it. It is perfect for a small family. Close enough to the beach that you can hear the waves, but far enough that it felt private and tucked away. The walk to the beach was not bad at all. But it was also a quick and very fun drive there…and everyone does the same thing, which was fun and very unique! Kim is outstanding. Extremely responsive and very caring. She knew how important seeing wild horses was to my child, and she contacted me one night during our stay to tell me that there were horses at the house next door. If she hadn’t gone above and beyond like that, we would have missed them. And seeing horses walk under the house was an absolute highlight for my child. The location is perfect too! Close enough to the paved roads that it’s a pretty quick run in to town, but you still get the beach driving experience. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

Can’t say enough nice things about this property and the hosts! Communication was kind and clear, property was immaculate when we arrived! Loved the decor. Fully stocked kitchen. Truly everything you would need. Kim and Jim were kind and accommodating. 10/10 would stay here again. Like the title says, air down! The Corolla website suggests a certain psi but ask the locals, or people who have recently driven on the beach! Even if your driver says “they’ve got this” ?.

This was a great rental experience. The home is nicely laid out, well-stocked, and well-maintained. It was the perfect amount of space for our family of four. It is a slightly longer walk to the beach than some of the other houses (10 minutes through thick, hot sand), but we just drove down every day, and drove back for lunch. It was really easy. The nearby beach is beautiful and had the perfect amount of crowds -- not very many people, but also not total solitude, which was nice since we had small kids with us. The hosts for this property are great -- really friendly, helpful, and communicative. I would definitely recommend this place, and would definitely come again.

The property was modern and clean. Great location for viewing birds, horses & dolphins. It was wonderful for submerging yourself in the wildlife sounds of Outerbanks. We heard coyotes and plenty of nocturnal birds at night. Ensure you have a high clearance AWD or 4WD vehicle to get there. The only odd things were no hand soap for the bathroom or kitchen and the additional charge for linens. Otherwise, it was a 5/5 experience! Thanks for sharing

It was more then I thought possible and beyond. The owner helped out many a times and he did it with a big Smile on his Face
