Medicine Park Cottage: Walk to Lake Lawtonka!

Great property. Very clean and cozy. The views are amazing.

AMAZING views, and close proximity to downtown Medicine Park. Four wheel drive is probably required, wasn’t bad with a truck but others should just be aware. Easy access to the yard for animals. Would love to stay here again!

Our stay at the Medicine Park Cottage Lake Lawtonka place was fantastic! The house was impeccably clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. We can’t wait to go back!”The property is a small but stunning sunlit house that is perched high on a hill near Lake Lawtonka & Medicine Park. It is perfectly placed to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The driveway is very steep but worth the journey! The views are breathtaking. The views are absolutely stunning of the Witchita Moutains, Lake Lawtonka, and the small quaint town of Medicine Park, OK. The living area features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook at home. The patio’s are great for cook-outs & outdoor gatherings. The one bathroom is very spacious and has a stand alone bathtub and a large shower with plenty of hot water. The toliet is handicap friendly. Looked back over the pictures after staying. Although a bit popped and oversaturated, they are NOT misleading. This place is extremely nice, clean, well decorated, QUIET (a thunderstorm with amazing lightning show came over the mountain while we were there, but the rain sound was only faint and pleasant!). Water pressure and heat duration in shower were great, towels fluffy and plentiful, ditto with provided shower soap/shampoo. Coffee bar was well stocked (typical Keurig pod options). Kitchen clean, fridge water and ice clean. We would ABSOLUTELY specifically seek out this specific property again on another trip to Medicine Park.If there is ANY caveat or warning at all for other travellers - be aware that this specific property is a tiny bit 'hidden' on first arrival....Oak street has #s 86 and then like 94 or something with a little sign on a gravel pathway between them pointing you up to both 88 (this house) and 92. That gravel path is a bit rutted and uphill for a typical sedan, absolutely fine for an SUV. After you go up and around the gravel a bit is where you see the real driveway, which is at a pretty steep slope. It's not un-navigable by any means, but is a little daunting if you first arrive in the dark ... so don't.Hostess / contact for the property rental was very communicative and gave us entry details well in advance, and checked in with us too.5 / 5 stars well deserved, thank you for being a really fun find!!

This place was great! It was so clean and quaint and comfy! It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

I rented this charming Medicine Park home for a relaxing weekend with my adult kids, and it was perfect. The house was cozy, beautifully kept, and had everything we needed. We spent most of our time around the kitchen bar cooking, laughing, and playing games.The mattresses were a huge hit (my kids said they were the comfiest they’ve slept on in ages), the bathroom was gorgeous, and the hot chocolate packets made my 13-year-old very happy. The view from the back porch was incredible, and check-in was seamless from start to finish.My favorite moment was convincing two of my boys to go on a midnight drive through the wildlife refuge—we saw tons of animals, and they now think I’m a genius.A perfect, easy getaway. Highly recommend!

The property was very pet friendly and very clean. Kitchen was stocked for cooking and bathrooms were stocked.

This was our second stay here. We love this house. It is very clean and oh so cozy. The kitchen is very well stocked and the coffee bar is very nice. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the linens and towels are good, too. The location is excellent and the view is superb. We enjoyed our cofee on the porch in the morning and cocktails at sunset. It’s just minutes from town and a short drive to the refuge where we enjoyed kayaking and hiking. We are aleady making plans for a fall or spring trip. The hosts, Chuck and Linda are very accommodating and really nice people.

The very best host and accommodations of any vacation spot! My second time here and this house and host sets the bar high for all the rest. We will be back for sure!

Wow!!! This cabin was PERFECT. Absolutely stunning view of the mountains from the wrap around porch. The kitchen is large and well appointed; the bathroom has a big shower with great water pressure and the towels provided were really nice! Check in was a breeze with the door code system.

The home and the property is beautiful. The driveway has a very steep incline. The neighbor at the bottoms of the home let us park in his yard, very nice gentleman. The home is equipped with everything you need. Thank you for opening your home.

Our stay was fabulous. The house is amazing and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils. The wrap around porch and view of Mt. Scott and the surrounding area are breathtaking.

This place was exactly what was listed. The views were incredible. Just loved drinking coffee out on the back porch every morning I was there. Linda the host was quick to respond and helped with anything that was asked of. I will most defiantly come back and bring my wife for some R&R. Thanks again Linda what a most wonderful place. I have stayed in a ton of rentals this was the cleanest place I ever stayed.

Have stayed at many VRBO's and this one hit all the bells and whistles..The home was very clean, nicely updated and decorated, even the outside landscaping was beautifully done.. Host didnt miss a beat in provisions.. The patio view was amazing and comfortable. We've always bought our own coffee, but there was kurig with great coffee.. id soo would stay again.

This house was perfect! Perched up on a hill with a stunning view of Mount Scott. I have nothing but gratitude for this place. You are in the refuge within minutes, where a group of our friends camped. The little town of Medicine Park is bustling, but we only stopped for donuts and spent most of our time in the refuge. It was perfect for our little dogs! Vern loved Linda’s dog Sarge! It was just simply perfect, clean, and a great space to relax. If you stumbled upon this listing, stay! You will not regret it. We will try to come back and will think about it often. Thank you!

This home was perfect for a getaway for me and my pup. You cannot beat the views from the large porch and the home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s very close to Witchita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge. You can also easily walk to the Lawtonka Trails as well as the Medicine Park restaurants and shops. Really glad I picked this place and will definitely book again the next time we visit the area. Highly recommend!

What a view! We celebrated our wedding anniversary in this remote, but close to town, hidden gem. The gated area and the garage allowed us to leave the puppy behind and enjoy the Plantations Restaurant and the rest of Medicine Park!

My teenage son and I had a great few nights here over spring break. The house and neighborhood were quiet. Close enough to town to walk, which we did once. The place is exceptionally clean, updated, and cozy. Had everything we needed, and more! Views of the sunset over Mt Scott were beautiful and saw deer around the property 2 of the nights.

Great location, clean, well equipped. Just all around a wonderful stay. The best cabin we have stayed at in Medicine Park. The view is absolutely beautiful. Will stay again

We loved it very much! The views have to be the best in that whole Medicine Park area! The evening we showed up, there was deer and elk right outside in the neighbors yard! My husband was happy about that, lol. The master bedroom was so beautifully decorated and the bedding was so soft and cozy. The whole house was well decorated with much thought. Our onpy complaint would be the parking, because it was so steep and hard for pur big tryck to get up and down the driveway, but a smaller vehicle will do just fine. We loved it and may even return one day to this adorable property!

This cottage far surpassed my expectations. I needed a secluded getaway and this was better than expected. I’m already planning my next stay here. You won’t be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at your lovely Cottage. It had everything we needed and more. Well appointed kitchen, bathroom living area. Clean and neat. The view was outstanding. We went to Mount Scott and it was so beautiful and this cottage has an amazing view of mount scott and some of lake Lawtonka. Thanks so much for such a lovely cottage. I enjoyed my coffee in the front porch and savored the view of the Wichita mountains. It was so neat to realize the buffalo were roaming free just over the mountains.

The location of this house is perfect. Great views and easy access to everything in medicine park. Less than 20 min to Lawton. The house was really clean and comfortable

We booked a last minute trip and we could not be happier. This house on the hill is perfect it has everything you need and more. It is private with a view that was exactly what we wanted. The house is clean and stocked. The beds were comfortable, all appliances, ac, water temp no issues. It is also close to the shops and swimming in medicine park and some great hiking in walking distance.This is a new favorite spot we would love to stay again in the future.
