Stayed Aug 7, 2022The house appears to be full of history. It is nicely remodeled throughout. Overall we had a great stay. House was pretty clean, we would have liked the hot tub, sauna, and shower to be a little cleaner. Sauna has a mold/musty odor. There was a plumbing issue with the kitchen sink to which the owners responded letting us know it's an ongoing issue. Backyard has a lot of potential. The nearby area had small stores, a butcher, etc. Like I said, historic. The nearby beach is more of a park, but still great and where our kids spent most of their time. No fault of the owners but the only other thing travelers might want to be aware of is how rural the area is. It was difficult to find nearby restaurants or bars or other shops open past 8pm, and it was an hour or more from Montreal.

Stayed Jul 4, 2022We loved our stay in St Anicet in this beautiful ancestral home. The house has all the modern conveniences but has maintained many of the vintage touches that give the home character and style. The kitchen is huge and bright and has everything you need. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. All the bathrooms (there are 3 including one in the primary suite) were lovely. The family room has a very large tv and the family enjoyed playing video games and watching Netflix & Prime. The back garden was perfect for morning coffee and evening dinners. And we loved the kayaks and paddle boards as well as the local beach & park for swimming (which is just across the road). The village also has charming shops and stores, a bakery (only open on weekends) and restaurants that are lovely. A wonderful stay, we highly recommend.
