Thank you, Els, for sharing this wonderful house! We loved the luxurious mixture of old and new designs as well as the spacious rooms and the huge garden of this property. Els is a perfect host giving plenty advice and a warm welcome, treating the guests to an extra of cold beverages and cookies and a handwritten welcome note. We had a blast!

Quiet location with comfortable living areas. Note that one of the bedrooms was accessed by going through another. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery so only need to run dishwasher once a day. Ten minutes' walk to two small but well stocked supermarkets. Also close to a bakery and friture. 10 minute walk to bus into Bruges with a punctual bus every 20 minutes. Spent most days travelling into Bruges, which has a variety of different museums. This includes the De Halve Maan brewery, whose visit we all enjoyed. Bruges is a very pleasant town to stroll around. It is worth taking a boat ride. Also not far to travel to the coast and not far to the Channel tunnel. Very pleasant host.

The home is very unique mixing old with new, it is really a piece of art. It had everything we needed. The property as a whole was amazing! We had the best weather and we ate outside every morning and evening. My 3 year old son was in heaven running around the property. We honestly didn’t want to leave. We rented bikes and biked in and out of the city center of Brugge pretty easily. We will have to come back! We will always remember our time we spent at this home. The owner Els was so kind and helpful ❤️

We were looking for a calm and cosy place near Brugge and the Flemish coast and found the perfect spot with Els' little house. The entire place is utterly well kept and very generously equipped with all sort of kitchen and convenience equipment as well as children and baby amenities. The house is beautifully located on the quite outskirts of Brugge (5km) in a discrete neighbourhood and has very convenient access and parking and beautiful outdoor seating areas as well as a huge and very well catered to garden. Highlights include a gorgeous kitchen, generous dining area complete with bar, spacious baths and a cosy, stylish living room with huge windows to enjoy the view towards the extensive grounds where you can spot a lot of different sorts of birds. All day to day (holiday) needs can be catered to in walking distances from the house with supermarkets and pharmacy as well as regular and Michelin-starred restaurants (De Jonkman, not so day to day but heartily recommended anyway) within 5-10 minute by foot, 2-5 by car. Not to the least part the perfect stay was made possible by Els as amazing and helpful host who not only compiled a comprehensive house guide but is very reachable, friendly and humorous. Thank you again and hope to meet you soon. All in all a perfect foothold in Flanders that can only be fully recommended.

An excellent stay at a clean, well equipped and beautiful cottage. Not too central but close enough to enjoy the surrounding areas including Bruges which wasnt far at all! The outside area was amazing especially for my 3 boys to run around and burn some energy off in, and a lovely area to enjoy a meal Al Fresco :) We will most definitely return in the future! Thankyou!!

We loved this house! It was close to Bruges, yet far away enough not to be expensive - a 15 minute drive! Although my husband cannot climb the narrow windy stairs we are often encountering on our journey, Els was kind enough to put a cot downstairs in the study which had a lovely view of the expansive backyard. The bedrooms are all upstairs and two toilets and shower and tub downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked and much appreciated. The owner was very reachable and even came to show me how to work the stove! Did I mention the lovely house?! It was very peaceful to be able to sit outside away from the bustle of the city. The house instructions were in English which was a big help. We were glad to be able to experience an older house with updated facilities. Although we were 2 couples, more could have stayed with us easily. The place was very clean. Don’t miss out on experiencing this place for yourself!
