Luminaire on Lac McGregor

Overall it was a really good experience for me and my family. It's also good value-for-money and I would stay here again if I'm in the region. Detailed review: We wanted somewhere remote and close to nature for a week and this seemed to fit what we wanted from the posting. We arrived late in the night and had some difficulty locating the house (The host gave me exact coordinates to the door so that one is on me). My maps took me to the other side of the house and there were people there, so I thought there was a mix-up. Some of the pictures in the posting are shared spaces like the Sauna and boat house. We were alone for my stay, except for the first night, so we had the whole space to ourselves which is how we like it. If you're social and looking to interact with other people then those are great spots to hang out. The house itself was very spacious and clean. There was even a high chair put out for my baby which I appreciated. There were also children swings and many other things that children would love. There are 3 bedrooms big enough for a couple and one big bathroom/toilet with a tub. There is also a kayak and life vests for adults to use. If you need groceries or food, the closest spot is about a 10 minute drive away, so you probably need a car to stay here. I loved my experience after all is said and done and would recommend it.

Beautiful setting and very comfortable accommodation

Loved our stay here! The view was superb and the amenities on the property were excellent. The beds were so comfy and the bedding was perfect. Layout was spacious and immaculately clean. It was a bit tricky to find the property when we arrived (it was dark) - the instructions provided were good, and gps coordinates were helpful, but it was still confusing. Also, the property connects to adjoining house and the door/lock between the 2 is flimsy at best… we were traveling with small kids and worried (but maybe we’re just nervous parents). Speaking of kids; my daughters (ages 3,6,8) loved it here and didn’t want to leave. The playground and boathouse added to the fun and excitement. I would absolutely come back! Thank you for a beautiful long weekend as a family.

I enjoyed the plentiful watercraft and the kitchen was great. Also, the boathouse was nice.

We really enjoyed the cottage and location. We didn’t fully take advantage of the outdoor facilities, but enjoyed sitting on the dock and appreciated all the options that were there. My only comment is that it wasn’t clear how many cottages share the outdoor facilities, which I could see being busy during the summer

Beautiful lake, nice fire pit and lakehouse. Cozy and comfy home, with everything you need!

Lakefront location is great for fishing. Property is clean and comfortable. I enjoy cooking for friends and family. Some more cookware would be nice. Looking for to return in the future.
