Had a very relaxing stay and loved the view from the hot tub. Owners were very friendly and having a bottle of Prosecco and box of chocolates left for us made a great first impression! The surrounding area is very scenic with the river a short walk away as well as plenty of attractions (High Force waterfall, Raby Castle, Durham and the town of Barnard Castle all visited). We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area and it was free.

We loved our stay at Low Shipley, stunning location and a great time of year to visit with lots of lambs in the surrounding fields and things to do/see in the surrounding area. Cottage was clean with everything we needed and our grandson especially loved the hot tub. Relaxed and friendly hosts with a welcome gift of chocolates and prosecco much appreciated. We’d love to visit again.

The cottage was warm and very comfortable. It was lovely being able to bring my dog, and the walks around the cottage were ideal. My mother and I loved our 4 days there and we have booked it again. Thanks
