The cottage was very modern and well furnished with amenities and appliances and cooking utensils and games. The beds were super comfy. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating to requests. It was a perfect getaway in a safe location. I highly recommend.

This was the perfect home base for us to explore the DC area! The cottage was pristine,with everything we could possible need, and our hosts were great to communicate with. We only used our car 3 times in 5 days as the metro into DC was only a 12 minute walk. Our experience was excellent in every way

We absolutely loved our stay here. Cottage is the perfect description, as it's basically your own private home. The owners clearly care about the experience of their guests. They have included every amenity you could imagine, and then some! We were visiting our daughter in the area, so the location was perfect for us. Parking on the street was free and easy. We had clear instructions with every aspect needed for the property. The location was quiet, peaceful, and so well equipped. We would gladly stay here again. Thank you for such a wonderful property!

We really wish we could have stayed longer! We had a great time, they were very welcoming and the property had so many great amenities. They even had things we weren't expecting like some snacks and some extra bathroom essentials in case you left yours at home. Even though the snow and ice was rough during our stay they shoveled out a nice path to the cottage and dug out a perfect spot to park. We really loved it here and are definitely thinking about coming back in better weather.

WOW! Our stay at this beautiful and well-appointed backyard cottage was absolute perfection. The neighborhood in which this little gem is located is clean, safe, quaint and picturesque! We're clean freaks and I have to say, the home was spotless even by our standards! Our gracious hosts provided every single necessity (and then some). They were also incredibly communicative which made the entire process seamless from start to finish. We were also blown away by the incredible local restaurant recommendations provided...it's almost as if they knew us and knew our food tendencies! It was a genuine home away from home—we can’t wait to return!

Amazing place and hosts!

The house was well thought out, perfectly equipped and maintained. Everything we needed and more was in place. It really could not have been any nicer. There was a bit of snow and the host was diligent in clearing it from the pathways and porch. We had a wonderful stay.

Everything was excellent, start to finish. The owner was quick responding, the space was well cared for and had everything we needed. In fact, for our needs, visiting our kids, it had more than we could use. We will probably use the rental again when we come down to visit kids and try to take advantage of the outdoor amenities. This cottage is a jewel box. Autumn was definitely the time to visit. Geneva and Peter have thought of every creature comfort you might want, whether it's what you want or what you might have forgotten. The location is ideal. I noticed in the guest book how many people wanted to move there. We are two more. If we need to return to the area, we will definitely stay here again. Quiet. Private. Airy. Cozy. A true oasis from the world.

This lovely cottage is nestled in a beautiful neighborhood with a community feel! Our hosts went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect. We walked to the Virginia Square station and rode to Northwest Stadium for a game. Had a wonderful weekend! Thank you!

the cottage was beautiful, in a quiet area, easy walking to the Metro station. It was spacious, had a very well equipped kitchen, great TV (loved that we had access to networks and live TV). The laundry supplies, toiletries, kitchen essentials, and other small items enhanced our stay. We loved the free and easy parking out front. We liked the facility so well, we have already booked another week next spring, hopefully when the government reopens, so we can enjoy the activities we missed out on this time.

We were in town for the Marine Corps Marathon and this was a perfect location. A super quiet neighborhood for a good nights rest and just a short walk/drive to multiple restaurants and night life to celebrate after the race. A short Uber ride to the start and finish of the race. Very clean, great amenities and highly recommend to anyone visiting DC.

We loved our stay in Arlington. The cute cottage is super clean and over-the-top supplied, making our stay fantastic. Care is obvious! The hostess and host truly have made this home beautiful, efficient, and comfortable, ranging from the white hydrangeas, Joe-Pie-Weed, and potted red geraniums near our outside deck, the incredibly well stocked kitchen, the black out blinds, to the comfortable bed! We recommend it highly.

This is a true hidden gem in the Washington area. Every detail has been thought of! The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and the metro is a 14-minute walk away. There are nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity.Highly recommended for a visit to Washington! The cottage is even nicer in person than the pics online! That doesn’t always happen. It’s spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. Everything you could possibly need was provided from a well stocked kitchen to a basket of toiletries. Bed was very comfy and we slept well. The neighborhood is gorgeous and we were able to park on the street right next to the path to the cottage. 15 minute walk to the metro to anywhere in DC. When messaged with a question, Geneva responded right away and even stopped by to help us oldies figure out the tv lol! The remote controlled shades made it nice and dark for sleeping. When up the cottage is filled with light and views of the well tended grounds. We met Geneva and Peter as we were packing the car for home and had a lovely chat. Easy to talk with. Highly recommend!

What a great find! Just outside of DC and all the noise in a quiet and beautiful nook. EVERYTHING ( more) you could want or need in a home away from home setting. Very clean and modern stay. Walking distance for dining, shopping, etc. if you choose. Great communication by the host! Wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more.

Great stay! The cottage was adorable, modern, and very clean and comfortable. It was more spacious than I imagined and is located in the heart of Arlington. It sits on one of the most quiet streets in the neighborhood, despite being walking distance to Clarendon/Ballston restaurants and multiple metro stops. I'm thrilled that I found this hidden gem and plan to stay there for future trips to the area.

This cottage is a perfect 1-2 person hidden gem in the suburbs of DC. Convenient to the Metro if you need to get around town and easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Arlington. The house itself is well-appointed, modern and impeccably decorated. I was so impressed with the attention to detail that the hosts put in to this property. From the snacks, coffee, toiletries, etc., I had everything I needed (including a few things I ran out of and/or forgot to pack) which saved me a trip to the store. I would highly recommend this for a single business traveler or couple looking to explore DC without the hassle and expense of a downtown hotel. 10/10!

This was my second stay at this cute property. It was even better than the first time since I really got to enjoy the neighborhood with a longer stay. Was in for a graduation in DC and having the space and quiet, peaceful surroundings more than made up for the slightly longer commute or a hotel room. Arlington is a great area and we walked to dinner twice. The house is so well equipped that you could have an extended stay comfortably.. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at Geneva and Peter’s Cottage! We stayed at the cottage for a conference in Washington, DC, and it was a perfect place to stay! The cabin was impeccably clean, and very well stocked with anything that you may need! We had plenty of clean towels and sheets for our stay. There is also a fully stocked kitchen, and the appliances are updated. The cabin is close to parking by the street, and safe with a lock on the door. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely, quiet, and very safe. The cottage is very peaceful, tucked away in a beautiful garden area. We watched movies on the TV, and the WiFi was high-speed for a work trip. Geneva and Peter were very welcoming and kind! They provided extra sheets and pillowcases for the fold-out couch that we used. The bed and pull out couch was very comfortable for our stay! They were very accommodating and kind. We highly recommend staying at the cottage, and would love to book on our next trip to DC!

We stayed for the night for the cherry blossom and kite festival. The area is so cute and a short walk or drive to any of the local restaurants, shops, monuments, or events going on in the area. Thank you so much for the hospitality. The stay waswaswawonderful and the perfefelthome.

This adorable little cottage was in a beautiful neighborhood and tucked away in a magical garden. The inside was immaculate and stylish. My kids and I all loved it and it was so close to D.C. I would absolutely stay here again!

Clean and comfortable. Well stocked. We cooked a few breakfasts and found the pans and utensils to be in great shape. Appliances and climate control easy to use. Host extremely responsive. We stayed four nights with no car, easily walking to the Metro and a variety of good restaurants (we are seniors). That said, I docked one star from location because I would have preferred the Metro and restaurants to be a few blocks closer considering how much walking we did visiting tourist sites in DC. We did anticipate this somewhat so I acknowledge it may be unfair of me to dock that star. The neighborhood is lovely and really nice to walk in. Good shower and comfortable bed and linens. Really nothing we did not like.

Exceeded expectations :) would come again and definitely recommend to friends or family!

We cannot say enough good things about our short stay at Geneva’s cottage! She has thought of every little detail. My daughter and I slept quite soundly in the upstairs bedroom. We would be thrilled to stay here again!

Three of us stayed in this house for a girls weekend - it was fantastic. The bed upstairs was very comfortable (and the room got so much lovely natural light!) as was the pull-out futon downstairs. Geneva was very flexible in terms of a couple random requests I had for my stay and she had left lots of thoughtful touches and treats out. The location was an easy 15-min walk to the Metro. Highly recommend. And despite it being a tiny house in a backyard, the unit felt actually very spacious.

It is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, which we loved. We walked the neighborhood and to a couple of restaurants in the area and felt safe. The cottage is not too far from restaurants, supermarkets, and the metro. If you are a party of 3 or less and are coming to the Arlington/DC area, I highly recommend this cottage.We will definitely be staying here on future trips to the Arlington area or if we are passing through on a trip further north.Thank you Geneva and Peter!

This cottage was a great find for our three day getaway to explore the DC area. Nestled on a gorgeous and private home property, close to the DC attractions. This cottage is new, very clean and beautifully designed and decorated. You should love it!

Clean, well taken care of, very comfortable bed, with 2 full baths (1 on each floor, very handy), great instructions for blinds and all appliances and helpful maps and information for DC. Would highly recommend as a great alternative to a hotel and a top notch VRBO. Parking ideal, right by the property.

This was an impressive VRBO and decided on an alternative Christmas trip to DC and NYC last minute. The host was very responsive and the cottage has pretty much everything you would need for a short or long stay. I loved the neighborhood and the proximity to the attractions downtown. Very clean, new and private. Would definitely stay here again in the future

As former residents of the DC area, we were hoping to find a place that would feel like home. The cottage was perfect! The space, the location, the amenities and the little touches (chocolates on the bed ;) made our week long stay to visit family + friends simply wonderful.

The folks who own this little hideaway are good communicators, and provided us an impeccably clean cottage that is organized, intuitive to use/live in, and convenient to every amenity in Arlington with a 10-minute walk through an idyllic Rockwellian Arts & Crafts neighborhood. Geneva and Peter’s backyard cottage was wonderful. It was exactly like the listing and extremely clean. Parking is a breeze (and free!). They truly thought of all the little extras you may need - toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, makeup wipes, feminine hygiene products, etc. and a few little snacks and chocolates! The bed was very comfy, the only thing to note is that the bedroom does not get very dark if you are a sensitive sleeper.

We were only here for an overnight to drop my daughter off at college but it was lovely. The cottage is a great tiny home space, super comfortable and welcoming. Lots of snacks and toiletries if you forget anything. Comfortable bed and hang out space plus a tub and laundry. Would definitely stay again, Geneva was accessible and very kind!

This place is a beautiful property tucked away so you feel like you have privacy and a quiet atmosphere to relax. The location is within walking distance of great restaurants and perfect for wanting to explore DC due to its proximity to the sites. The amenities were very generous as well with spare toiletries and snacks. We are grateful to have stayed here and would love to stay here again.
