Very clean. All rooms comfortable. Love proximity to river and location way down the lane. We can see ourselves returning. So easy to explore the area.

This is a cute little house on the river! Great access for fly fishing. As noted, no wifi so great for disconnecting. Great fire pits. We had a wonderful time. The screen porch looking over the river is a wonderful place!!!

Spent most of our time at the river or on the screened in porch. Appreciated the cleanliness of the cottage upon our arrival. Our second stay there and most likely will return.

Beautiful and restful as always, my partner took the opportunity to learn to fly fish and he caught some nice bass. I enjoyed lounging in the screened-in porch and reading. Location is convenient to Luray and Shenandoah NP

I am so happy I found this cozy river cabin to get-a-way with my boyfriend for his birthday. I can't express enough in words how needed this trip was. We have had the most chaotic summer and sitting out on the couch, drinking coffee and listening to the river took all of that chaos away, for a short while. Grateful. The cabin was sweet, cozy, and inviting.

The cottage was a good size and comfortable for me and my wife and two dogs. The water is very close and accessible and was clear as a mountain stream while we were there.Only addition could be a better entertainment system with WIFI.

Amazing little cottage by the river. So much wildlife and nature to explore. The screened in porch is the best and a huge advantage to this property. A bug free area to watch all the birds, boats, and river. Our pup really enjoyed the river and the pet friendly cottage. We saw lots of Great Heron, an Osprey, a Kingfisher, and lots of other smaller birds.

We had a wonderful stay at Life is Better at the Shenandoah River at Our Cozy Riverfront! The riverfront access was a dream—perfect for relaxing, fishing, and letting our water-loving dogs play. The screened-in porch quickly became our favorite hangout spot, offering peaceful views and bug-free evenings. The yard was well-maintained with short grass, which made it easy to enjoy the outdoors with our 6-month-old, grandma, and two pups. The home was cozy and pet-friendly, making it ideal for our little family. The only small downside was the grill—it could use an upgrade—but that didn’t take away from the overall great experience. We’d absolutely stay here again!

This is a perfect place for a family or a few friends to spend relaxing days outdoors. This property is close to everything—Shenandoah National Park, Luray caverns, and tons of great wineries (Castle Vinyards is highly recommended!)The house is decorated nicely and there are a few sitting areas for socializing. The kitchen was outfitted with everything I needed. The bedrooms are cozy with comfortable mattresses. The tile floors throughout are perfect for keeping everything clean. Outside there are a couple places to enjoy a fire and cook up some s’mores. And though the riverfront beach is not ideal for fishing, I still caught a few small bass with a small spinner around dusk. My favorite activity, though, is just relaxing on the screened-in porch and enjoying the view of the river. You just can’t beat that. I will definitely book this cabin again, it has something for everyone.

This is a lovely property right on the water. It was perfect for our 4 person family and dog. We loved relaxing on the screened in porch and exploring the river banks. The zero entry river bank was perfect for our water loving dog to explore. We even took our paddle boards up river to check out the small islands, turtles, and birds. It was a great location in regards to the national park entrance and downtown Luray. Just buckle up for the bumpy dirt road drive in! Spotty cellphone service kept us off our phones and enjoying the moment; just make sure to do your Google searching for attractions before you get to the property.

Clean and organized cottage, everything you need for a pleasant stay. Just be aware no wifi and no cell phone reception inside the house and poor reception outside (Verizon). There is a couple of miles to drive on unpaved and at time rough terrain but we did not have problems with our minivan.Great location right in front of the river. Host was prompt in communicating with us. Better get there for the first time with day light because at night is very dark and difficult to find the cottage. We will book again.

Cabin was as listed with plenty of towels and little touches. Cooking pans were on the better side, which is unusual for a rental. Screened porch gives guests a chance to enjoy the serene atmosphere without the issue of nature's little biting critters. Bed was comfortable and after figuring out where the heat source was, it kept us very comfortable. Plenty of space for the two of us.

This quiet stay was just what we needed! Your access to the river was perfect for our pups to swim and get their feet wet. Thank you for the cleanliness and well-stocked kitchen!

We really enjoyed our stay. Cute little place at a great location. We had such a relaxing weekend in the water floating and fishing. Perfect screened in porch for morning coffee and evening cocktails.

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay over July 4th at this lovely waterfront cottage. The screened porch was the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening night cap and the kitchen was well equipped to cook in. Fyi, no wifi and our Verizon cell service was essentially non existent, so come prepared to be offline until you head in to town.

Our family loves this cabin on the river, we are a repeat customer and will continue to visit in the future.

What an amazing spot on the river! This place was so amazing with absolutely beautiful view of the river, my city wife was so awestruck by this place she immediately started searching for a place for sale in the general area. I got a very strong feeling we’ll be doing another stay at this awesome place later this year.
