just as the brochure says and more. a perfect place to explore the beautiful and relaxing Italian Lakes. The wonderful settld weather added to the package for a truly fabulous holiday. I have parkinsons disease so am a little limited but apart from the limited access to the property this was no problem and Cleo the spaniel enjoyed her stay as well. we will certainly return. it might be useful to provide a small trolley to transport baggage/ shopping to the cottage. We have stayed in a wonderful place and have been looked after by a wonderful host. The house is thouroughly restored and carefully furbished. It was more then spotless and had everything we needed (even a salad spinner) and with any problems Elena helped us out. The whole place, the garden, its trees is kept with great care and we loved the ringing of the bells of the spire nearby. Cossogno is at the rim of Val Grande - a great place for walking and near to the lakes. And for those who don't like walking there is a lot to see in the area and even Milano is not far. The Val grande is more remote and if you look for silence, there you find it. Thank you Elena.

We had a lovely 5 days in Cossogno. The cottage is beautifully maintained and had everything we needed. Elena was an excellent host who went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The village has a small shop and a smashing osteria where we had a lovely meal. Also serves as a bar. The local villagers were all really friendly especially as we had our dog with us. The village is away from the hustle and bustle of Maggiore and about 10 minutes to Verbania. Highly recommended in a quiet spot.

The apartment was lovely, Elena was a wonderful host! Amazing views from the property and a fantastic part of Italy to visit!

We spent 5 fantastic days at cossogno. The Apartment is set up very lovely. You find all the things you need in the house. It`s very clean and the kitchen, bathroom and the mainbed are modern and comfortable. The view from the terrace and the silence are priceless. Elena is a very accommodating. We will come back :-) :-) :-)

We had a wonderful time in Cossogno! The flat (Lauri) is very nice, totally equipped with a beautiful garden and balcony. The view over the village is unique! Cossogno is located on a mountain, it's a small, perfect village. Elena was very nice and helpful. Thank you very much! We can only recommend holidays there! It's perfect for hiking, biking (and in summer swimming... :-) ).

We spent two weeks at Elena's cottage in Cossogno and had the most wonderful time there. The cottage itself is spotless and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful -- Elena clearly spends a lot of time taking care of the gardens and her vegetable patch. The patio has a beautiful view of the mountains and we took almost all our meals outside. Elena was very helpful and gave us many tips on the walks we could do. We hiked, swam, relaxed -- it was the perfect combination of sport and leisure. Cossogno itself is a quiet, sweet village nestled in the mountains. The stone houses, narrow meandering cobblestone streets, the beautiful churches, the stream that San Bernadino stream that flows past it, the Roman bridge -- the place became like home to us so quickly. We were also lucky enough to be there for a cultural/gastronomic festival that was organised by the village. It was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. And our puppy was a big hit with the locals, and she enjoyed being there so much that she didn't want to leave. Thank you, Elena. We will definitely be back next year! Marc, Vidya & Nika
