Stayed Aug 19, 2025The cottage was really nice - there were a few things missing like a tea towel and the dishwasher door caught on the washer door when closing - it was like that when we arrived. The upstairs was spotless and clean but the kitchen we felt had been cleaned by another person. Nevertheless we have a wonderful holiday that went too quickly.

Stayed May 23, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at Lavender cottage. The cottage was spotless and had everything we would need, including a well supplied kitchen. The location of the cottage at The Bay was really nice, it had a lovely neighborhood feel, and the beach there is wonderful! We loved walking there in the evenings. We enjoyed Filey, the Piebald Inn, and we thought Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough were absolutely awesome for seeing the seabirds. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay, we loved it.

Stayed Apr 7, 2025The house was very comfortable and clean. We all slept well and the beach was just a pleasant walk away. We had great weather too. Dog owners need to be more responsible with their dogs however. We would not hesitate to go again. Property was ideal for a small family.

Stayed Aug 13, 2024Lovely place and everything in the cottage that we needed. It is a long way to the beach, so we parked in Filey and went to the beach there. Used the pool on a rainy morning, but had to wait 20 minutes to get in as it was full. There was unfortunately no system in place to try and improve the throughput, some families after us had a much longer wait. Cottage is perfect

Stayed Jul 22, 2024We enjoyed our visit to Lavender cottage. The property was very clean and comfortable for a family of four including two young kids. There were lots of very thoughtful details and the property met our expectations. The communication from the hosts was very good - arrival instructions, updating us on the closure of the pool and very quickly resolving an issue with the boiler. The park is really nice, the beach is beautiful but the pub is really pricey and food quality wasn’t good at all. We wouldn’t go back.

Stayed Mar 31, 2024I have been to The Bay a few times, such a lovely place. Lavender Cottage was fab, very clean, beautiful inside and the owners communication was amazing. Thoroughly recommend staying here.
