Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

It is a beautiful property. We had a brilliant time!!!

Fabulous location! Highlight was definitely the local wildlife, including a cheeky echidna who waddled up to the back door one afternoon, to drink from the water bowl. Be sure to keep it topped up!Thank you for a terrific beach break!

We had a beautiful 3 nights at Lavender Cottage, it felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend.

The house was perfect for what we needed. The trampoline, caravan and all the toys and games were a hit with the kids. We loved having our own special track to the beach and we're already talking about booking again for next year

Great little cottage that suited us to a tee. Comfortable lounge area and beds. Nice to have the potty belly stove on a cold, wet weekend too. Kitchen was small but adequate. Shower was excellent with good hot water.

Walking into Lavender Cottage is like stepping into a child's adventure book.From the front gate to the back gate it is a magical garden with plenty of spaces to relax explore and soak up the day.Inside the cottage it was cosy and comfortable with beautiful art on the walls and lovely lighting. The kitchen is amazingly equipped and all the furniture is simple yet comfortable. Exactly what you need for a seaside escape.I loved sitting on the front porch soaking up the afternoon sun and watching the bees work amongst the lavender.Then moving inside in the late autumn afternoon to relax beside the fire.I will be returning to this little getaway. It is a perfect escape in a beautiful and peaceful place.

Loved our stay at Lavender Cottage It was very clean and well maintained. Cozy, homely and well placed in proximity to beaches, shops and township. It had so much character and we appreciated all the entertainment options.We'd chose to stay again.

A nice couple of days in Lavender cottage, and was grateful it was available on an Easter long weekend. Very good communication with Nadja, who messaged me straight away to let me know the property was available, and also to remind me to bring sheets and towels. The instructions for the property are clear. I understand the restriction with water and providing sheets et cetera, but would rather they were all provided, to save ourselves the hassle. The place was comfortable and had everything we needed although could use some updating. Nevertheless, the fire was welcome and so was the split system. Well stocked kitchen. Water pressure was good and beds comfortable, so four stars for those things. Thank you for having us stay Nadja

This is our second time back here. It is a lovely cozy little cottage tugged away in a very peaceful location. Having a private path to the beach behind the cottage is really special.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lavender Cottage. We felt at home straight away and relaxed instantly. The garden was lovely with native plants so lots of native birds and animals!

We both walked in and were transported back to our youth. It's a place that is warm and comfortable, perfect for a break from the everyday hustle of life. Cannot recommend it enough. Clean, accommodating and in a great location.

Lovely little seaside cottage, great reasonably challenging walk to the beach, appreciated the air conditioner ( it was a really hot weekend) gorgeous floorboards, lovely garden, deck table and chairs and dog door that our spoodle used instantly

Took some time out the celebrate a Birthday away from the hustle Perfect place to chill out , great gardens wildlife & birdsong also included a visit from an echidna & blue tongue Enjoyed the beach and our little dog got to join in all the fun… perfect ?

Perfect little hideaway to rest and reset. The trek to the beach is a fun experience, but make sure to wear long sleeves and shoes that don't slide off! Lots of spots around the property to sit and relax.

Our first time visiting Venus Bay and the South Gippsland area, and this was a perfect place to stay as we explored the region. Very quiet area, especially in the winter season, and the house is easy to keep warm. Very well set up with not only the things you need (eg. plenty of pots and pans and crockery), but tons of stuff to enjoy as well (huge selection of DVDs, lots of books, some CDs) and thoughtfully decorated with nice lighting, artworks and so on. In short, it feels like a home. Lovely garden and outdoor setup too, including a small caravan for kids to enjoy. Take the private beach path challenge out the back if you are fit and have good hill climbing and descending skills!

We always enjoy staying at Lavender Cottage, it’s quiet, cosy with the wood heater, quaint and relaxing.
