Large villa with sea view

An incredible home in an incredible area. There is so much to do nearby but yet we found that our favorite thing to do in the whole country was coming back to this villa after a day of wandering about. We will find a way to make it back one day.

We had such a great stay here- house is just beautiful and the setting is hard to beat! You have the palace out your front door and the sea put the back! Plenty of room for everyone and the house is laid out so that different groups of people can have their own space- adults having cocktails on the front porch while teens play cards on the back. Rita could not be more helpful or cooler! We hope to be back asap!

My family and I had an amazing time here in Fontanelas. The property owners Rita and her sister Anna were extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Highlights included the sunsets, meals outside and day trips to different beaches around the area. The house is extremely clean with everything one needs and even has toys for kids.

Our stay was very pleasant. All went well except for the Internet. It is not reliable but the owner is working on it and trying to improve it..

We spent 8 days in this lovely home and used it as our base to explore Lisbon and the surrounding area. The 4 bedrooms (plus an office that could be a fifth bedroom) provided ample space for our group of 4 adults and 4 young children. The grounds are very pretty and provided a fun play environment for the kids. There is also a large lower level stocked with bikes and toys for the kids to enjoy. Rita (the owner) is very nice and helpful. She takes pride in making sure your stay is enjoyable and trouble free.

We’ve had fantastic time. House is great, modern and spacious yet with traditional flair. Very conveniently located. Rita was a fabulous hostess. Highly recommended!

It was a rare case when the reality exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the house for the period from mid of December 2016 till mid of January 2017 with three kids. The house has everything you need for the family vacation. The land plot is fantastic. With a beautiful garden and a large territory kids can play outside the house and you don’t need to be worry for their safeness. I have to admit that Sintra is a tricky place. It has a variety of microclimates areas. You need to be careful with choosing where to stay to avoid unpleasant weather. We were lucky and almost all days we stayed where sunny with clear view of the Atlantic Ocean and Pena Palace. Another benefit of this house is its unique location. You are very close to the landmarks of the Portugal Riviera, naming Cabo de Roca (the westernmost extent of mainland Eurasian continent), Azenhas do Mar (a small fisherman village with meditational views; it has one of the best fish restaurants in this part of the cost), Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaliera, Palace of Mafra and many many other places to visit… Rita, the owner of the house, is charming and wonderful lady.

On arrival I was met by the owner, Rita, and welcomed with open arms. The house was deceptively large, with five doubles, three bathrooms, large kitchen and huge sitting room. The grounds were lovely. The area was beautiful and we spent each day driving to different places, Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra, fabulous beaches to watch surfers. Each recommended restaurant was fabulous. The food in each was spot on, and the service was welcoming and authentic. It is definitely somewhere I will go again. Well done Rita and sister. The house was immaculate and I would recommend this property and the area to everyone.
