This is a 3-season cottage. It does not have central heating. Therefore, as may be occasionally necessary in the "shoulder season" (mid May, or late September/early October), we provide a space heater.
The number of overnight guests per reservation must match or the reservation may be canceled without a refund.
The camp is a cute rustic cabin. The bathroom is very tiny but we did manage. We walked each day. Only used the beach once, but it was very nice. I wish there had been more dish towels & dish cloth, as it would have been easier to keep a clean one available. Also, I would suggest you get the gas stove checked. I have used them in the past & feel it is not working correctly. Mrs. Brooks
Great relaxing stay. Comfortable small cabin in the woods. Quiet and peaceful. Great owners!
relaxing, very cute
Great little area.. stayed for a week .. only challenge was the shower.. it wasn't a surprise tho.. was informed b4 booking... Great place overall.. 1 hour from the ocean and 2 from the highest point in the Northeast . Would recommend
second year coming here hopefully 3 years in a row
The cabin was very clean and quiet area. We were coming from Florida to enjoy the fall season. The only thing we can think of that would have been different or added, would be having better heat source. I’m sure if we asked they could have given us more then one space heater. Overall it was a GREAT Experience…..
We were overwhelmed that all descriptions we read and heard off basically where overachieved. What a nice spot at the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee. We visited family in the area who came over to pick us up and they also where absolutely positive about what they saw. Can definitely recommend the cottage plus Phil and Melissa as hosts.
Phil and Melissa, We loved staying at your rustic cabin. It was just the right experience for us as we concluded the stressful and exhausting process of moving out of our horse farm property awaiting our move to our new retirement condo. Thanks so much for the opportunity! Susan and Jim Donatelli
We absolutely loved this beautiful cottage! It was exactly what we were looking for! Relaxing & peaceful in a friendly neighborhood with all the views! We enjoyed floating and hanging at the private beach & exploring the beautiful area of Alton Bay! Everything is conveniently located within a short drive & you don't have to deal with the crazy tourist price markup! The hiking trails are all around & we loved being able to grill & then enjoy dinner overlooking the lake. Its hard to tell in the picture but you can see the lake from the porch & outside the window. Amazing to wake up to & sit and have your coffee taking in that fresh air! Melissa & Phil were wonderful & friendly! This is the perfect hidden gem! We look forward to going back next year!
The cabin was well suited for 2 people. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was quite small, as others mentioned. But it was workable. The screen porch was pleasant and provided wonderful breezes and cross ventilation. The cabin is between Alton Bay and Wolfeboro, both great towns to explore. It is convenient to a good grocery store, too. The neighborhood beach is about a 10 minute walk from the cabin - very handy. We had a great time hiking, swimming, boating, and exploring the lake region.
Everything I needed for a relaxing, fun work-cation. Equipped kitchen, supportive mattress, reliable electricity and internet. Hosts were welcoming and responsive to minor issues that arose. Strongly recommend for a casual visit to Winnipesaukee!
Relaxing, retro cottage in quiet neighborhood with a nice screened in porch. Although not waterfront, makes a very comfortable and efficient home base for the many attractions in the Lakes Region. It is well off the main road and is very dark at night. Bed is very comfortable, and kitchen has everything you would need. Bathroom is very small and could be a challenge for people with mobility issues. Best suited for an active couple's get-away looking for a quiet and clean place to stay while visiting the area. There is an association beach available @1/4 mile away. It is a moderate walk with hills or a short drive. Hats off to Phil and Melissa for offering such a great value for the area. Rick & Joyce
This cottage was perfect for a summer vacation! We really appreciated the full sized fridge and fully stocked kitchen dishes/tools/appliances. It was also great to have on site laundry during out stay. The beach was beautiful, great for kayaking and there is so much to do in the area! The hosts were friendly and very helpful! We are looking forward to staying here again.
great place , quiet and relaxing
The property was good some of the neighbors were very unfriendly not the owner's fault but I had to go somewhere else to launch my boat which cost me a lot more money on gas
