Find serene beauty, a secluded-yet-convenient location, and gorgeous views of Worromontogus Lake at this one-bedroom, lakefront property just outside downtown Augusta.
This rustic, lakefront escape is one half (the main floor) of a two-level duplex, offering its own separate entrance from the studio upstairs (which may be occupied by other renters). Here on the banks of Togus Pond - as this 654-acre lake is known locally - it's not uncommon to spot bald eagles, geese, beavers, and turtles. It's also a certified wildlife habitat and an ideal home base for those looking to be convenient to Augusta on their way to or from Acadia National Park.
Step inside to find a window-lined interior living space, where you can take in a view of the lake from nearly every room. There's a full kitchen where you can prepare breakfast each morning, decks on both sides of the house that are wonderful for sipping coffee, and even a provided canoe (shared with the upstairs studio) to take out for a relaxing paddle. The rest of the day can be spent reading in the sunroom, relaxing in the living room, and gathering with your loved ones around one of the two outdoor firepits (which are shared with the studio as well).

The listing stated there were upstairs tenants. Long story short, on Thanksgiving when they arrived home to me enjoying an outdoor fire, the accused me of using their firewood, I had brought my own. Then another night I left to do an activity with my kids and returned to not being able to park, due to them taking up three spaces with their truck. They were noisy every night until midnight and up every morning by 7a. In have no living family besides my kids and I was looking for a relaxing getaway. Very unimpressed!!!
The cabin was simple but charming! I enjoyed my stay very much! We were very comfortable.
Overall nice stay disappointed about not being able to fish sighs put on trees right before my stay after I paid.
