Lakefront Cottage on Serene Lake Becky

Stayed to fish and attend Clemson football game. Caught bass, bream and lots of yellow perch right off the dock and enjoyed the quiet lake and weekend. House was cozy and steps from the lake and great location. Hosts were responsive to any questions and there were no issues.

Disappointing and unfair experience. From day one, a strong sewage odor filled the home. The host claimed the septic issue had been fixed, but the plumber only came Tuesday night. That same evening, a leak started, and the smell never left.From Tuesday to Friday, we had no water. When it returned, it was only cold — the plumber hadn’t restored hot water. That’s why the washer didn’t work. She now charges us 300 for 4 “inspections” we never requested.On Friday, both toilets and the shower failed — proof the septic issue was never fixed. We weren’t even home that day. Toilets worked when we left, yet she now blames us and charges 750.She also ironically complains we used “all the toilet paper and paper towels” she provided. We’re a family of five, staying seven full days… Two rolls weren’t enough — we had to buy more ourselves.Beds weren’t made, just a pile of sheets. One old sponge was in the sink. The mezzanine she calls a sleeping area was suffocatingly hot and unlivable — kids had to sleep on the game room floor.Despite promising a refund, she sent us a 1050 plumber bill instead. Please think twice before renting from a host who treats guests this way.

My wife and I just stayed at this property for our anniversary. She has a bad knee and a lot of lake properties require walks down a steep hill or long stairways. This place has a boathouse patio on the same level of the house! Worked great for us! The house layout is a bit funky - if you have more than 4 guests you'd want to check it out. But very clean, had everything we needed - and the host was extremely responsive and helpful. We hope to return!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Even though the lake was down due to the hurricane, we still enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and watching some football on the streaming tvs. The house was very clean. Liked the mini splits in the rooms so we could each control the temperature in the bedroom for our preference. Owner was very responsive to questions. Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay! It's a cozy house with a nicely stocked kitchen. I was able to make a pretty big dinner for everyone! The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of room. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time on Lake Becky. The lake was prettier and cleaner than I imagined it would be. The swimming and fishing was lots of fun. I recommend that guests bring extra beach towels (as we did) if you plan on swimming. The house had just about all we needed and was well stocked and organized. A return trip is likely.

There were three generations and we all had a great time. The house was comfortable, cozy and exceptionally clean. The upstairs game room is an added bonus to enjoy. Relaxing on the upper deck, swimmimg, fishing, canoeing, smores by the fire was all a part of our family making great memories.

We really enjoyed our stay. Nice, peaceful, tranquil. Blue Ridge and waterfalls are close by. The lake was awesome for kayaking and paddling. Didn't catch big fish from the lake, but bought some nightcrawlers and caught a few small ones from right under the dock - the kids were extremely happy. Surprisingly, there were almost no mosquitoes in the evenings, so we were able to stay until it got completely dark. And in the house, we had everything we need. The communication with the owners was great too. Really nice place. We will definitely come back!

Had a great time at the lake house, the house had lots of things to keep the whole family entertained and my dad enjoyed fishing from the pier.

Unaware of uneven floor before coming, very dangerous even with little signs on floor. Fished day and night using ALL kinds of bait and only caught 4 small fish and a baby turtle ALL week no other even nibbles. 5 tvs and took FOREVER to get anything to stream not enjoyable. Couldn’t use lights at night because bugs immune to all sprays and candles. Since no address beforehand didn’t know 25+ min from anywhere and no deliveries.

Our 2 day stay was wonderful. We had authorization for a 5:00 pm checkout on Sunday and the Host didn't remember. She called the police to ask us to leave because we were trespassing. Our friends left 2 books there in a rush to leave. Host blamed this on Venmo and took no accountability. We were not given an apology or any accommodation.

Very nice lake house, not much do to but relax and enjoy the water, which is a great thing. Very relaxing dock. Good waterfalls and hikes close by.
