Great overall experience!
Very relaxing, totally removed from life. Opportunity to do as much or as little as you want. Stumphouse in itself is very unique and updated beyond imagination. We totally enjoyed our stay here.
While the pictures of our accommodations looked good they didn’t do Justice to how really perfect it is. Completely renovated with top of the line appliances and architectural digest decor. And our owner was always available to answer questions. Is it away from civilization? Yes. Is that wonderful. Yes! Great stay.
We booked this place based on its proximity to the trails and whitewater rafting. It was perfect for us, our two teens, and our two dogs. Cute places to eat nearby, wish we could have stayed even longer, and we hope to come back in the fall. The homeowners were communicative and responsive. The design in the home is smart-lots of little spaces to sit, play games, or read. We loved it!
This is the cutest cabin!! It was the perfect spot for my husband and I to spend a long weekend. Great location- close to several waterfalls and small towns.
The property is a perfect tucked away home in Gods country. Great combination of old and new. Clean inside and out. All amenities you would need. A lot of thought and work went into this old log cabin and the result speaks for itself. Cannot not say a bad thing about the property
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating his birthday at the cabin and in the surrounding area. The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. I highly recommend it!
Adorable authentic log cabin- photos don’t do it justice. Great communicative hosts and one of the most well stocked rentals I’ve stayed at. She even left out a bouquet of fresh farm flowers for us! So thoughtful. Amazing location with tons of hikes / waterfalls nearby and chatooga river rafting is about 25 min away. We enjoyed even just walking on the country roads around the house - it’s actually walking distance to reach the palmetto bike trail which we just stumbled upon and enjoyed walking our dog there. Very secluded spot. We like cooking so the only thing I would recommend is to have better knives available, as it was nearly impossible to cut veggies with the knives provided. Would also be nice to have better blinds for blocking out morning light. But otherwise we loved it and will definitely be back! Campfire under the stars was the best!
Had an absolutely perfect getaway, only wish we could have stayed longer:) Cabin was charming, with well appointed new kitchen and bathroom. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and effort into this rental, it had everything we needed. Surroundings were peaceful and very relaxing. Would love to stay at this historical and comfortable cabin again.
Great mix of old log cabin and modern convenience. Add a great location and you have perfection
