Beautiful, rustic home with amazing views.

Incredible property. We didn't want to leave. Such a perfect place for the two of us and our dog to have a relaxing long weekend.

Absolutely stunning location with Lake Michigan right in your backyard. Lots of sandy beach with a great view. Tons to do nearby, with easy access to the neighboring communities of Oostburg and Sheboygan. Also close to several fantastic state parks, with the Kohler Andres park only about a 10 minute drive that offers many beautiful trails. A real gem, one of a kind place that you will love. Pet friendly too!

Beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The house is comfortable with lots of seating, great views of the water, and a full kitchen. Comfortable beds. Easy strolls on the beach. We loved it.

Charming property in the perfect location.

The setting is wonderful with the beach, lake and woods. The home allows for great view and is very comfortable.The host was also very responsive. We stayed there previously and hopefully will again in the future.

Perfect getaway. Quiet with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Beach was great for walking and listening to the waves crashing on the shoreline. The view from the cove room was breathtaking. The kitchen was fully equipped. Beds were comfy. We only had one issue with tv access. Called the property manager and he sent someone to fix the issue within fifteen minutes. Would highly recommend!

This is our 3rd year staying at The Clearing. We will be back for a 4th.

This house is spacious and full of light, thanks to the nearly floor to ceiling windows facing Lake Michigan, which is just feet away. It was super clean - not a single bug, spider web, or even speck of sand anywhere. Lots of comfy furniture including the beds. The host was quick to respond to our question about the wood burning stove. It’s a 10 out of 10 rental!

I really enjoyed my time at the cabin. I felt like I stepped back into my childhood with the decor and the style of the cabin. The hammock was a huge part of my time when I was there. My husband also loved the place. He enjoyed walking our two dogs along the gorgeous shoreline. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The Clearing has become our beach front paradise, home away from home The perfect peaceful retreat! The cabin is welcoming, clean, and has the perfect layout for fun family game and meal time; as well as many inviting little niches for some space and alone time. The morning sunrise view is stunning, and there is plenty of beach front to enjoy walks and fun in the sun. The wooded surroundings are beautiful, and offer plenty of privacy, without feeling completely secluded.This was our fourth week-long visit to the Clearing and we will definitely be back!

Loved our time here! The beach access makes it perfect for kids and the dog. It is as advertised.

Our family (mom dad 11 year old 9 year old) rented for a week. Check in was super easy and the property manager was responsive with questions before we arrived. My kids loved the bunk bed room and being right on the beach. Us parents loved all the different sitting areas with views of the water and the privacy of the house. Also appreciated the washer/dryer for lighter packing. It was nice to have two dining tables-we used one for meals and one for puzzles.The water was colder than I realized it would be that week but we made due :)

What a gorgeous week!! Nice and sunny a couple days and cool , cloudy a few. Great for going to Andre Kohler State park and then to Sheboygan when we weren’t relaxing at The Clearing! Beautiful walks in the woods and then along the beach… our dog loved her stay!Thank you so much for the cozy accommodations.. this is our second time and would definitely recommend it! Looking forward to returning soon!

My sister and I brought my mom and a friend here to celebrate her 87th birthday. The place was perfect! All women enjoyed getting up with the sun and the lake views. Meals were spent around the table talking and laughing. It was easy to get to Sheboygan for lunch, as well as to parks for a hike.We brought along our dog, who loved the beach and the water.Thank you so much - we’ll be back!

We were so happy to return to the Clearing. It was beautiful as always and it was so good to spend some time in nature with walks on the beach.

Peaceful and private

We've stayed at this property the past 3 years in a row. The beach is great for walking and the house has perfect views. It has everything we need for our family and pets. A good time is had by all every year, we love going to the Oostburg bakery and watching the deer while eating dinner at Majerle's Black River grill. Union Asian Market in Sheboygan is excellent also, great papaya salad! Overall, a really nice area to explore and a good location to relax and watch the waves come in on the sandy beach.

Had great weather! However, after REPEATED attempts to contact the manager and owner about issues with the TV and phone with no reply, this in itself will probably keep us from renting this property again.

Loved every minute of it. So many windows to see the beautiful view! We enjoyed walking on the beach, having fires, the full moon on the lake, and the beautiful sunrises! Can’t wait to return!

Just had our second stay.. My nieces family came up for a few hours and are dying to plan a vacation there in 2025. This is a fabulous get away and I can’t wait to see it again

This was our 3rd summer stay at the property and I feel like it just keeps getting better. Quiet, secluded, beautiful view and easy (now) / excellent beach access. One of our favorite beach stays that now feels like home away from home.

We loved being so close to the lake and enjoyed our walks on the beach. The swimming was great and loved the location of the cottage! A truly beautiful spot!

Wonderful beach destination for family. Will book again.
