5 out of 5 does not do this home justice! I would give it a 10!! Absolutely stunning views throughout the day. The beach was serene even with the workout you get going up and down the stairs :) We loved the hot tub and ample seating space by the home. Our favorite part was the platform with chairs about 1/3 of the way to the beach. The inside of the home was spacious, comfortable, and updated. We were even welcomed with a bottle of wine! I would definitely recommend this home. We will be returning!
Amazing scenery, and neighborhood Property is really cozy and relaxing
This is a beautiful home, very clean, provided all amenities. The view of the lake was amazing to watch the sunset and wake up to the waves. Having private access to a beach was really nice. We will have to come back in the summer. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the house was even more spacious in person. Communication was prompt and our family had a wonderful and restful stay. We will definitely come back again!
The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the views of lake Michigan, the sounds of the waves and the fantastic cottage. Only a short walk down the steps from the cottage to be able to walk on the beautiful wide beach. Extremely clean cottage, very well stocked with kitchen supplies per my wife and great new looking furniture/bed/chairs .. Due to Covid-19 this was the first trip for my wife and I in over 1 1/2 years. ; the beautiful cottage and Lake Michigan beach was amazing and worth the wait!. Highly recommend!
We had such a lovely stay at this home in Muskegon. There were 5 of us, 4 adults and 1 child and we had more than enough space. The house was very clean and provided Norwex products for use during our stay (which was a nice slice of home for me). Location: -The property is on the beach (down the stairs as pictured), and is shallow enough to wade into with wider beach down the way for throwing a football or playing other outdoor games that require more space (we brought bocce ball). -The back of the house faces West, so you have full access to a gorgeous sunset every evening, whether you're on the beach or up at the house. -Shared drive (the beginning of it - it doesn't impact your privacy) with Ruth Ann's ice cream, so ice cream is just a walk away after dinner -Muskegon State Park is next door, so the beach to the left of the property is the state park, which provides the best of both worlds, private space if you want it, or public if not as you move further away from the home Amenities: -The kitchen here is the best stocked of any rental I have stayed in. They have provided a logical set of supplies (vs. many other places that seem to just throw in leftovers from here and there). There is a full set of pots and pans, a knife block, a large set of dinnerware (including a full set of plastic dinnerware/cups/silverware for the kids), and generally just amenities you would expect at home (i.e. you could make muffins there - from mixing bowl to measuring cup to muffin tin). Three things we wish we would have brought: garlic press (but I just cut it up - no big deal), tupperware (they have pyrex with lids, which were wonderful but take up more refrigerator space and we cooked a lot), tea kettle (there was a sauce pan that we used to warm water). -There are plenty of beach towels -There are beach toys and an umbrella (we had brought our own, but to save the packing space, thought I would re-include here that they do exist and are great options for play) -There is a high chair provided (and a crib listed as available in the house, but I failed to seek it out to know if it is a pack and play or what it is to provide more details), there is a gate in the front closet to block off the stairs to the upstairs if needed -The Hot Tub was clean and relaxing, with the entire outdoor space being lovely to enjoy. Ample seating, and places to sit and have a meal or just sit and enjoy the sunset or read a book. -The couches are comfortable and the decor allows the house to feel like home for the time you are blessed to be there -There are some games/puzzes/coloring books provided, as well as a handful of toys in the basement (mega blocks, hot wheels track, puzzle) Indoors, although we were not there to watch TV, YouTube TV is signed in and there is a Fire TV stick so you can login to your Hulu/Netflix etc., which we used in the evenings to watch movies Nearby: -Putters Creek offers mini golf, kayaking, SUPs, go karts and outdoor yard games, with Norm's ice cream (cash only) next door -(30 mins) - Pere Marquette Beach - public beach that has lighthouses and a restaurant that offers live music and space to eat either up on the deck or in the sand (The Deck). It was too busy the first day we went around dinner time so we just played at the beach and then tried again for a late lunch and had ample parking and no wait to eat (no live music at that time though) - ensure you pay for parking, we saw a lot of tickets written in the two visits we had -Ships/Submarines to tour, we did the submarine tour for the history lovers in our group -(30 mins) - Grand Haven shops, we navigated to Washington Ave in Grand Haven. There are parking lots or there is street parking (the lot we parked in was free), and I wish we would have planned to make more of a day of it including lunch. Fun area to shop, some restaurants with walk up windows, and lots of ice cream options (sorry for all the ice cream references - I love ice cream) -Fatty Lumpkins - loved the sandwiches we had here (and I love the name) Overall a great stay!
My family and I had a relaxing week. The house is not only stunning, but so comfortable. It had beautiful views of the lake.
This was my family’s first trip to MI & we will be back! The first thing you notice when you arrive at the house is how clean it is. We had everything we needed & the location is prefect. The view from the house is breathtaking! The private beach is exactly what we wanted & our kids loved it!
Great location, beautiful place, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and hope to stay again sometime.
I have nothing but positive things to say about our recent stay. We were a family of four (kids that are 8 and 9) who wanted a safe place to get away to for a shortened spring break. However, this property would be great for three couples, or a multi-generational family reunion. While we had not great weather, if we came in the summer time, we would never have the need to leave the house as everything is right there. Nevertheless, we hiked from the house down the beach to the stairs that lead up to Muskegon State Park. We also ventured into Whitehall to check out Fetch Brewing Company. I appreciated the host providing coffee and a bottle of wine upon our arrival. I also appreciated the linens and towels for the hot tub. There were clear directions about how to operate items around the house. You will not regret taking the time to visit this gem on Lake Michigan.
We traveled to this property with friends. We really enjoyed the lake views, hot tub, fire pit and easy beach access. Our 3 year old sun had a lot of fun with the indoor toys and playing on the beach. The sunsets were breath taking. Jim answered our questions promptly. Overall, we had an amazing time at this property.
