Lake Michigan 1945 Log Cabin Cottage Home North Muskegon Private Sandy Beach

This was our 2nd stay at this wonderful cabin. Our boys had been begging to return to the cabin with a bridge and were so excited to bring along our family dog. The views are breathtaking and the cabin comes equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had a lovely time playing games, walking on the beach, baking & watching movies. And the hosts are so very kind and thoughtful.This is the perfect place to rest your mind and recharge your sole!

The cabin is always immaculate when we arrive with everything we need. This year, having the drive, the parking area and the walkway up to the cabin freshly plowed and shoveled was so nice. The chocolates were a great touch also!

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin. It is super comfortable and equipped with everything a family could possibly need. It would be especially great for younger kids. My teens were a bit disappointed that the wifi didn't work, but we had a wonderful time anyway. The restaurant across the street has really good food. The kitchen is well equipped for making full meals as well. I'd highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway!

We had an amazing time! The views were spectacular and the cabin was very cozy! The host added so many little extras that just made it feel more like home!! We will definitely come back again.

This is a nice property. The cabin has a lot of character. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the property, nice front yard, and back yard, and beach! The steps to the Lake are not bad. Beautiful sandy beach. Had a nice stay and would come back.

An awesome cottage in a beautiful setting, my daughters are already talking about going back next year.It sits back a driveway thru the woods and sits on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. There are a lot of steps which would be tough for anyone with mobility issues. However the climb is worth it, we had a fire on the beach and watched a beautiful sunset.The cabin which is around 75 years old, but the age just adds to the aura of the place. A bonus is a short walk to a very nice restaurant/bar.

What a wonderful week! We couldn’t have picked a my beautiful place for our stay — the cabin is even better than we imagined. It was so nice to wake up to the gorgeous view of Lake Michigan from our backyard. We all enjoyed the kayaks and fire pits. We’re all glowing from the great time and can’t wait to do it again!

Have traveled much of northern Michigan. A most impressive home and location and will return next summer. Loved it all around. Incredible beach and home.

This is a wonderful house with all the extras that made our stay fantastic. We enjoyed not having to bring beach towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas. The kayaks were a hit as well.

Rustic old cabin

As we were looking for a Lake Michigan property, we came across this log cabin. Something about it just attracted us to it. We were not disappointed! From driving down the winding, wooded drive to going into the spacious log cabin; we all fell in love with it. We appreciated the many sitting spaces and enjoyed looking at all the unique decor. We spent a lot of time on the covered back porch. It was a relaxing place to hear the waves, talk, have our coffee, and feel the cool breeze. A nice surprise for the teens was the game room in the basement. The house has lots of shelf and counter space to work and display snacks. We were a little concerned about not having air conditioning, but there was always a breeze and the nights cooled down. We had many campfires around the fire pit. The backyard is huge with many sitting areas and is a great place to see the beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed the closeness of the Red Rooster Tavern, and walked there several times for meals. The beach was the best! The owners provide everything needed for an afternoon in the sun. The owner always responded within minutes to any text we sent. We made some wonderful memories here.

Weather was chilly at first, but last couple days were excellent! Had a fire every night and one on beach last night there. Beach area is so nice and my 1-year-old grandson enjoyed playing in the sand. We used the kayaks also. House was well stocked and beds were all comfortable. Would highly recommend! 69 steps to beach.

Came up to Michigan for a long weekend, and the Lakehouse was perfect for our needs, right down to the pup we brought! Will definitely try to stay here again when we come up again

What a wonderful property! So much thought put in to every detail. A huge shoutout to the owners for making sure our fishing party had a great time. Very, very relaxing in a quaint atmosphere.

We returned to this vacation home after a couple of years and I’m so glad we did. The setting is beautiful, the house well cared for and appointed, and we were blessed with glorious weather. This is one of favorite places to stay, lots of space, lots of privacy if you need it. The kitchen has everything you need and everything works.We come with our family, all adults, and one very good boy. The private beach is easily accessible, although it’s a lot of stairs. The beach has tons of beach chairs and tables. Kayaks if you’re interested. I can’t say enough good things about this vacation home. The hosts are excellent and appropriately attentive and they continue to upgrade the property and amenities. It’s our favorite place to stay in western Michigan and would highly recommend this rental.

We, all 8 of us, loved our stay here. Third year in a row for our siblings winter birthday get-together and we have had a fantastic time each year. Beautiful, comfortable cabin with fantastic sunset views.Love it, Love it, Love it! Feels like home now.

Great location! Easy to get to, but also semi-private. Gorgeous 1930’s log cabin home that retains plenty of its original charm with many modern amenities and comforts! We just completed our third consecutive rental of this cabin for the third consecutive year. We are college roommates and friends that get together annually in midwinter. Barb is an excellent, easy to reach and accommodating host. So kind and so responsive if you have questions before, during or after your stay. We hope to continue re ting for years to come and we appreciate Barb and family making their beautiful home available to us! 5 stars for sure! Thank you!

Barb is an amazing host and the house is a perfect getaway to Lake Michigan. It has everything you need and then some.

The cabin was exactly as advertised. Right above the beach with a gorgeous view of lake Michigan. My wife and I started the week just the two of us and added a couple of kids and grandkids throughout the week. Plenty of room for everyone and everything we needed plus games and puzzles and all the stuff we needed for bonfires. We had a wonderful time! room for all and

Our family needed some time to disconnect and decompress and this was the perfect place for us to do just that.

We loved our stay! This property is so well appointed; they’ve thought of everything. Lots of dishes and stocked kitchen so we had fun preparing meals and eating together at the large dining room table overlooking the lake. Kayaks and paddle boards were a nice addition for impromptu voyage into the lake. Great for bonfires. Steps to upstairs are a little tricky to navigate for older family members and pets.

This property was outstanding! It absolutely met our needs for a family vacation. The house was super clean and was well stocked with pantry items, towels for bath and beach, beach activities, and more. My first view of Lake Michigan as I rounded the side of the house literally took my breath away. Our group was all over 70 years old, so the stairs to the beach were a little daunting, but most of us managed at least one or two trips down them. I truly did not want to leave at week’s end! Barb was so nice to work with and very quick to respond. The Red Rooster Tavern close by was fun for lunch, dinner, or just a cold beer. I would totally rent this place again and hope to go back soon. Grocery was easy access about 15 minutes away and we also went up to the White Lake Light Station…a lovely old lighthouse and museum.

We loved the character of this historic cabin. It is clearly cared for with pride + TLC. The beautiful beach is the main attraction, but we spent lots of time admiring the details of the cabin inside + out…it’s very special! So happy to have found a dog-friendly spot along the shores of Lake Michigan. We definitely hope to be back!

This is our second year coming back to this beautiful classic cabin. The whole ambience/environment is welcoming and cozy. The host, Barb, goes out of her way to take care of issues and questions. Love the view.

This house is gorgeous with spectacular views, tons to do for the kids and adults in the house and yard as well as on the beach and in the water. Stunning views of the lake and sunsets, even caught view of a rainbow as the thunderstorm came in to shore. Barb was very kind and quick with responses. The house is clean and well cared for with the normal oddities of an older house/cabin. Everyone in my family had an amazing stay!

We like this area, so looked for a house last minute this year. The house was better than the pics! Really neat/fun house…we really enjoyed our stay! The beach is huge and the highlight, with kayaks, umbrellas, tables, etc. Also a great view of the water from the house..and shaded backyard to hangout. Barb very responsive to help! Great family week!

This is our 4th time staying here. It is a wonderful location. There are only 70 steps to the beach. Very private. All you need is provided. When there was an issue it was dealt with promptly. We will be staying there again

Everything about this place is awesome!!! Great yard with a fire pit and large private beach. The cabin is super clean, with nice comfy beds. The kitchen is well stocked. You won’t be disappointed staying here. It was absolutely perfect for our family!!
