Stayed Sep 26, 2025In town for a family wedding at the BARN venue around the corner. House was exactly as advertised, with a little more. Lots of space and will rent again when visiting area.

Stayed Jun 29, 2025Great location between the north shore of Houghton Lake and south Higgins. Beautiful house that easily accommodated 4 adults and 3 teenagers.

Stayed Oct 11, 2024This home is beautiful and amazingly clean! The only things that made my husband feel less welcome were the multiple signs around the house (along with tasks listed in the description to be done before leaving) reminding us of our responsibilities. It felt like the days my mom left me notes. Along with tasks listed were costs if they weren't done. I've stayed in many homes and this was the first time we felt there were penalties around every corner. Considering we paid $150 cleaning fee it should not be that we have so many tasks to fulfill or we'd be charged, especially when we didn't even use the upstairs. (But, that was my choice, I know.) It would have been nice to pull up at night to a motion light in the driveway and the thermostat higher than 58 degrees upon arrival (perhaps a programmable thermostat?). It is my hope that our experience helps the owner find ways to make stays at his lovely home more welcoming. (P.S. The automatic hall lights inside took some getting used to, as well, especially at 3 a.m. We could not find any way to pause this motion sensor.)

Stayed Jun 16, 2023We had 3 house holds come together for a family vacation here, played games, grilled, had a fire with smores and even celebrated a life while staying here. The owners communication was amazing, and so very friendly. And the area is great, a walk from an amazing park! And there is so many geocaching in this area!!! Definitely recommend!
