Lake Access: Adirondack Zen Studio

Loved, loved this rental! I would have given it 5 stars if the bathroom was set up differently…so a 4.5 of 5!

The location was peaceful and pretty. The XC skiing was excellent. Close to Saranac Lake. We loved it!

Beautiful property close to everything. Exactly what we were looking for.

This quiet location was a short drive to Placid and Saranac, while offering access to rail trail and water activities. Many hiking options within short distance as well. We loved being in a wooded area and encountered lots of wildlife! It truly was the best choice for a busy day, but relaxing morning & evening.

Wonderful visit! The host, Janet was lovely and very responsive. Communication was top notch. And the Zen studio was just darling!

The Zen studio was well appointed with necessities. We had everything we needed. Our only request would be more ice for drinks. We loved the privacy and outdoor space. We will recommend this VRBO to friends traveling to Saranac Lake. Jan

Amazing stay! The location is great and the access to the lake and wilderness was amazing.

This was my second stay, and second excellent experience with the Zen Studio and the hosts. The studio is cozy, comfortable and creatively designed to make every inch work. Amazingly well thought out and attractively outfitted. Including the not-to-be missed screened in garden sitting area. The setting is private and pure ADK. Deer in the yard, wonderful pine smell. Situated about a half mile from the ADK Rail Trail which is the best rail trail I have ridden. Scenic and smooth. The hosts are attentive and responsive while never intruding on your privacy. I hope to be back.

The Zen Studio was perfect for us. Very well-appointed and furnished with every thing we needed. Birds were great. Lots of deer. Very comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch and in the screened-in porch.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed there. The location is perfect for us, close to Saranac Lake, and Lake Placid. The place was clean and a relaxing place to stay. We do a lot of reading there. The air conditioner was an added plus this year. Janet is a good communicator. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time at Janet’s place. The apartment is very thoughtfully put together, and Janet was a dream host — so communicative and helpful. The apartment is as listed, a short drive from all the nature you need, but great for staying put, too. We loved the bikes and the kayak. We hope to be back soon!

Janet was easy to communicate with and very available, and the cottage was beautifully furnished and thoughtfully provisioned with everything you could need. The wooded location was peaceful and we would stay here again without question!

The property was just as it was advertised. Perfect,quiet retreat after a day hiking in the mountains. Even though the weather wasn't the best we made the most of it and the zen studio was perfect to come back to and relax. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful time exploring the Saranac Lake area. The cabin was great! It had everything we needed. The atmosphere was definitely Adirondacks. The drive in from the main road was beautiful!

This is the place to stay if you're looking to stay in the Saranac Lake, Lake Placid area. Clean, I mean this place is clean, quiet, private, and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend mainly to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage around Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. It definitely did not disappoint!! Janet's place is clean, quiet and cozy, perfect for the two of us. We took the (host's) kayak out on the lake and it was such a peaceful afternoon. The towns nearby, Saranac Lake and Lake Placid are beautiful and quaint with many great food options and interesting stores. Overall, I am really happy to have made the trip and would definitely consider Janet's place again in the future should I return.

Private and exceptional! Great host and wonderful location. The bog on the private road to the property is breathtaking. We had a wonderful stay!

Loved this place! It was perfect for us. It had everything we needed inside and the grounds were great! Had some rain that delayed our hiking for a bit, but had a great time chilling outside under cover watching the birds, chipmunks, squirrels, etc. Very close to some great hikes and very private!

We loved the privacy and feeling that we were out in the woods. We were looking for a place to unwind, so sitting in the gazebo every morning having breakfast was a Huge plus! As was the proximity to the Rail Trail. We are already trying to plan when we can visit next!

This place reminds me of a Jesse Colin Young song “Ridgetop”. Que that up and you’re there!

We really enjoyed our stay at Janet's place - we went hiking, had a fire outside, and enjoyed the stars. Beautiful!

A perfect place to relax and watch the wildlife. The star's were amazing. Watching the chipmunks chase each other around was fun. The local area provided great food and entertainment. Thanks Janet for a great week

Excellent stay in an excellent location. Peaceful, near gravel bike trail, everything we needed was in the studio. The 8 days went too quickly and we will be back! I loved sitting in the gazebo and just watching all the birds.

The Zen Studio space is exquisitely designed, decorated and outfitted to maximize every inch. Janet and Dave were ideal hosts, responsive and friendly. The wildlife in the yard is really something to behold. Enjoyed watching the deer visit multiple times a day. And sitting in the screened-in area it was fun to see and hear the hummingbirds.The Studio is located in an area where there is easy access to nature and to nearby towns, restaurants and services. The ADK bike trail connects right to the Studio’s access road, and I rode it three times. I hope to return some day.

Staying at Zen Studio was an amazing experience! We loved everything about it. Janet and Dave were very accommodating to our requests: a bike for a pleasure ride or a kayak to explore Oseetah Lake, we did it all! Their kitchen had everything we needed and an extra fridge was such a great bonus. The cottage was spacious enough for 2 of us, clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening to watch the fire (fire pit) and seeing wildlife (chipmunks, squirrels, birds, etc). Highly recommend it!

Enjoyed the privacy. Great place to walk, read and relax. Might want to bring a large fan if the weather is really hot. It would be nice to have a place to barbeque. Accommodations are more than adequate and well maintained. Two thumbs up!
