Stayed Apr 12, 2024This is a fantastic house, great for a couple freinds or a pair of couples. The bedrooms are large, beds comfortable, and decent baths in each. The common room is spacious and the kitchen updated and modern. Location is great to walk downtown to restaurants and other shops. The one downside is the train. Train runs through Shelbyville all/most nights and blows its horn for several minutes each time. We didn’t notice the earplugs on the table in the entryway until cleaning up at checkout. It wasn’t so bad that I’d not stay again if returning to shelbyville, my sense is anything close to downtown would have same train noise.

Stayed Jul 11, 2025This was an excellent option as a base to organize some outings to distilleries. We focused on distilleries in Frankfort and Louisville, so Shke yvulle was a great in between stop. The only snafu of the trip was the door code didn't work on arrival, but the owner responded quickly to text to get us in. The house is charming and clean and very quiet outside of the random trains. But if you make use of the ear plugs thoughtfully sprinkled through the bedrooms, the trains aren't much of a problem. We really enjoyed the stay.

Stayed Oct 17, 2024Came for a long weekend to do the bourbon trail with friends and stayed at The Blue Belle. House works great for 2 couples, had plenty of room plus having a 3rd bathroom was very nice. Overall very clean and well stocked except for forks but we weren’t home much so it didn’t matter. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants easily. Parking is on the street and the neighborhood is a little odd with a mix of industrial and other cute old houses. Felt safe, but was odd arriving at night and seeing a large industrial area at the end of the street.Didn’t expect that from all the pictures. The house is very close to the railroad tracks but it didn’t bother us at all.I think 1 train an hour came through and while we heard many of them, it didn’t keep us up. The owners have provided ear plugs and noise machines in the bedrooms but neither us nor our friends needed them. The owner is extremely good with communication and checked in during our trip to make sure everything was good. Very easy check in and check out process. Can’t wait to come back again!

Stayed Sep 13, 2024The perfect location for a quick stop on the bourbon trail. Ten minutes from Bulleit, down the road from Jeptha Creed, and a short hop over to Buffalo Trace and downtown Louisville!
