The property is close to waters and have free access to canoe, kayak and paddle board which is what we want! The cottage is clean. Thanks Bill for your timely response!

Located half way on Kushog Lake gave us lots of boating on the large lake. Cottage was clean and had a great fridge. The A/C was a bonus also. Not much of a beach but lots of toys to play on the water.

We had a great time at the Firehouse Cottages!!! We were in cottage #4 (3 bedroom). The cottage was on the water and had its own dock. The dock could use some metal rings installed to tie boats up more securely. Not every cottage has its own dock (cottage 3 and 5 did not have one). There was a fridge, stove, microwave and coffee maker in the kitchen. There are not many dishes so bring your own plates and cutlery. There are some pots and pans and a few cooking utensils. We had our own BBQ, fire pit and there was plenty of outdoor seating. The lake is really clean and the swimming was great! The cottage itself was small, basic, nothing fancy but did the job. One bedroom has no lights or electric outlets - we called it the Off-The-Grid room. The only complaints we would have (and it's king of a big one for me) are that the cottage has a rodent problem that needs to be addressed. I understand that we are up north, but we saw several mice in the cottage, there was feces all over the countertops every morning despite putting everything away in Rubbermaid bins and in the fridge. They were pretty active through the nights. We did not leave food out anywhere. There are also 3 raccoons that live underneath the cottage. They come to visit every night and they are very persistent. FYI the raccoons will approach you while sitting at the fire pit! The other issue is that the sliding door from the cottage to the deck needs repair. The door can barely open. You need to use your full body weight to pull the door open and closed, it's ridiculous. The flooring and plywood inside the sliding door are very water damaged and the flooring is lifting up. The soggy wood floor may be the cause of the door not being able to open with ease.

Had a nice relaxing time here. Rented the 3 bedroom cottage. Had everything we needed. Bill was very approachable and helpful. Cottages are close together. Many kayaks and paddle boats. Beautiful sunsets. If you’re looking for a really fancy cottage, move on. This is really nice though…definitely a big step up from camping!

Better than expected. Beds are comfy. Bbq and firepit were nice to have. We kayaked and canoed around Goat Island. Loved sitting on our own dock watching the beautiful sunsets. Bring mosquito spray! Bill was always avail if you have an issue

We had a great time! The cottage was clean. The a/c, WiFi and satellite TV were an added bonus. The fridge was large and the unit contained a microwave as well. The bedrooms were comfortable and all had water views! The bathroom was very small but clean and functional. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
