'Just for Fun' Cottage in Kiva Dunes

We love staying here. The house is always very clean and the walk to the beach is a very short distance. Owners are always quick to communicate. We definitely will be staying here again!

Our family of 4 stayed for a week and while it is cozy cottage with some tight living space, the neighborhood amenities and the quick access to the beach were amazing. I would definitely stay again and appreciate the communication before, during and after our stay.

We loved our stay in Kiva Dunes this week even despite the heatwave! If you are looking to be *right* in the middle of the Gulf Shores action, then be prepared for driving off property, but if you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing space away from all the crowds, this is your spot! We found no shortage of good restaurants within 20 minutes of the property, however!It was way too hot to relax on the deck or the porch, but in milder weather I think we would have been out there daily! Thankfully one of the pools was just steps from the property and that was where we spent a lot of time. If you have kids the garage is stocked with all sorts of chairs, toys & floats!We rented chairs and an umbrella for a very reasonable price for a beach day and enjoyed the sun and sand. The west access point was also very close to the house.The home had everything we needed and for a small kitchen and living room space, we still felt like we were well equipped and accommodated. We loved hanging out at the end of the day watching tv, talking or reading!The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We enjoyed early morning walks/runs before the heat hit! The Selah coffee shop was also so convenient for a coffee or treat!Beds were comfy, bathrooms were nice and overall this was just a great rental! The hosts are so responsive and checking in/out was easy! They have left great notes about the home and the area on the fridge!!Loved our stay!

Cute, clean, perfect for my small crew. The home is situated just a short walk from the boardwalk and one of the pools. The downstairs bedroom was so nice to have space for myself with my boys sharing the upstairs room in separate beds. We had ample space. The outdoor shower was fantastic for keeping the sand outside after playing on the beach. There were ample beach supplies - chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand castle equipment - for us to use while there. The upstairs deck was great for watching the sun come up and sip coffee in peace before my boys woke up. The kitchen is adequately supplied - we cooked/prepared all but one meal while staying there. The laundry machines work well for their compact size, too. It was honestly the best stay we have had on a beach. The blinds shut out the light sufficiently well, too for early to bed and late risers after full days on the beach. I would come back and recommend the cottage to anyone with four or less heading to Gulf Shores. The Boudreauxs were also great about answering my questions.

Perfect cottage for our family of four, exactly as pictured. Enjoyed easy access to beach and pools. Enjoyed the Kiva Grille for 2 meals and had excellent service. The weather was great and the whole trip was relaxing. Thank you for hosting!
