Jasmine Cottage is ideal for a couple or small family and with many attractions nearby, you'll be spoiled for choice!

The South Hams boasts the mildest climate in Britain. Paignton, 2 miles, and Torquay, 4 miles, have sailing, tennis and sports centres and coloured lights festoon the harbour by night. It has many beautiful sandy beaches, giving it an almost Mediterranean feel. Inland is the medieval town of Totnes, with a castle and 16th-century buildings, and once a week, there is anElizabethan and farmers' market. From the quayside, there are boat trips down the River Dart to Dartmouth; the South Devon Railway runs steam trains to Buckfastleigh and along the coast to Kingswear, opposite Dartmouth. Take a ferry across to visit Dartmouth with its array of shops and restaurants, take a walk around the castle and enjoy one of the tea shops for a Devon cream tea. Within easy reach is the spectacular Dartmoor National Park. There are many tourist attractions close by including Agatha Christie's summer home, Babbacombe's model village and the award-winning Paignton Zoo. Away from the coast, visit Tavistock, where you can enjoy some dramatic scenery. There are many National Trust properties and plenty of surfing, swimming, sailing and angling. Torquay has a lot to offer, such as the Living Coasts, where the penguins wander freely, and the theatre which has shows all year round. The Roman city of Exeter is 15 miles, whilst bustling Torbay encompasses Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Visit the yachting marina and a selection of fine gardens, in addition to Kent's Cavern where the remains of some of Britain's very earliest inhabitants were found. Discover the castles, abbeys, wildlife parks, steam trains and model railways, all within easy reach with many open throughout the year. Shop 700 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

I did ring Tina regarding a couple of things and she was pleased to get feed back. For example no blue bags to put dirty linen in . The cottage was decorated inside and out for Halloween and as older adults did not want to look at them inside the cottage didn't mind outside. I have recommended the cottage to family in same village for visiting family and friends.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jasmine Cottage, which was just as described and as good as the photos on the website. We loved the charming themed rooms, and my daughter particularly loved her duck room and said the bed was extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed and more, for example games, books and a selection of DVDs. The hosts were very prompt at replying to any messages and the place was spotless! The only slight issues were that the duvet in the master bedroom was a bit too small and the fan in the en-suite bathroom was broken (it made a loud screeching noise when first turned on and also flapped loudly in the wind overnight. If these were sorted, it would be perfect. All in all, we had a wonderful 3 nights' stay. The cottage is set in a peaceful location but within easy reach of Paignton and Torquay. We enjoyed visiting Babbacombe Model Village and taking the steam railway and boat to Dartmouth. No doubt we'll be back at some point!

Just perfect. A beautiful cottage in a quiet location. Decorated to a high standard with pretty much everything you will need for a memorable stay. Beds were very comfortable with fluffy pillows and cosy duvet. Smart TV and strong WiFi reception. Not only would I recommend, but I've already rebooked! Dog friendly too!

Wow, this accommodation is lovely! We stayed for 2 nights and it was worth every penny. They accommodate down to the finer details such as a toddler seat on the toilet, books, games and toys, and milk, dish washer tablets as well as your tea, coffee etc. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!!

We recently stayed at Jasmine Cottage for a week-long family holiday, and it was a delightful experience. The cottage is quaint and cozy, offering the perfect retreat for a small family. The location in Marldon is tranquil, yet conveniently close to Paignton, which made it easy to enjoy beach days and explore the surrounding attractions. The cottage itself is well-equipped, with comfortable beds and all necessary amenities. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the welcome pack, and found the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The shared courtyard was a lovely feature, especially with the fountain and peaceful surroundings. Overall, Jasmine Cottage provided a comfortable and charming base for our Devon holiday, and we would happily stay here again!

An absolute little gem of a place. Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night due to prior bookings. We loved it as soon as we arrived. Tastefully furnished and decorated. Quiet and peaceful location. We didn't want to leave. The only (very small) criticism is that due to the hot weather, it would of been nice if there was a freestanding fan available. We will be booking again in the near future.
