Very cute cabin
The property was adorable! The town was beautiful and plenty of places to hike. The only down fall was sirens going off through the night and people hollaring. The oven did not work so that was a bummer. Also not the best heating, the woodstove didnt work and the up stairs two bedrooms did not have heat. But everything else was really nice and had a great time.
Charming cottage. I would love to come back during the summer months.
Had a great first time stay in Mt Gretna and short drive to PA Ren Faire.
Excellent location. Check in was good. It could have been cleaner, there were dust bunnies on the stairs, and there was dirt on my clean socks when I walked from one bedroom to the other. We were told to bring our own paper products but it didn’t say anything about trash bags. It also would have been great if trash bags were supplied. It made check out a hassle.
Chose this pet friendly place to take our dog on a short trip and visit the PA rennfair. Convenient 10 minutes drive. Great area for long walks with your dog and check out all the beautiful Victorian homes.
It was a great stay. The only want would be for a cozy couch to snuggle on! This place is great to relax, we stayed for the Renaissance Faire which was conveniently 10m away at Mt Hope Estate. We love Mt Gretna and would be happy to stay here again.
Had a lovely stay. The cottage had all modern appliances, a central location and you can walk out the door and meander through the charming walkways of Mount Gretna. We were very comfortable and I highly recommend it!
Charming and whimsical!
Super cottage, amazing location and absolutely the coolest decor ever!
We had a wonderful time. The cottage was neat and clean. Great location, walking distance to restaurants and ice cream. We could hear the band at the tabernacle from the porch.
We had a great time.I am from Cornwall and came up to see family. The cottage was very cute, the only thing I could suggest is a rain at the stairs. And a handle at the tub. But I understand these cottages are very old and quaint. I loved it.
This lovely cottage is part of a village of cottages that collectively make up one of the nicest communities that I’ve stayed in. Although a certain aesthetic can be seen from one property to the next creating a feeling of continuity, they were all architecturally unique. With two dedicated parking spots as well as being adjacent to a church parking lot you will have no problem finding a spot. We had the pleasure of having the neighbor’s dog visit (hello Gully!) and every single interaction with others in the community was very pleasant. For the travelers planning to spend time out and about this place is perfect. I did have to contact management to report a mishap and they were extremely responsive and gracious. I would absolutely recommend this cottage as well as the management team that manages it. I’ll also add that a nearby lake (not part of the village) had no fewer than 8 active lifeguards on duty.
Classic Mt Gretna cottage. Has lovely and informative murals on walls about Mt. Gretna's history. Great screened in front porch and it's own parking.
Cottage is funky like photos show. Main bedroom and living room were comfortably cool. Didn’t use the other 2 bedrooms. Stairs going up are very steep without a hand rail. Would probably not be great for little kids or older guests. Location was wonderful. Walked to many restaurants and the theater. Always wanted to stay in this community and finally glad we got the chance.
We loved the ambiance of the home & community. Great brunch spot within walking distance.
I grew up in Palmyra nearby and have always wanted to stay in a Mt. Gretna cottage. We took a short trip over the 4th with my husband and two 11-year-old girls. The cottage was perfect for our group - each girl had her own room and loved how they were decorated. We had everything we needed to be comfortable, and the property manager handled one small issue quickly for us. We went to the lake and beach, Jigger Shop and a pizza place, all in Mt. Gretna. This cottage is close to Hersheypark and Chocolate World too. The decor, amenities, comfortable bedding, screened porch, and neighborhood atmosphere made our stay special. I highly recommend this cottage for families or couples.
The cottage is so cute! It was the perfect, small getaway for a weekend trip to the Celtic Fling at the Mt Hope estate. The Campmeeting is charming, quiet, and peaceful. The cottage slept four people very comfortably, plus it had a full kitchen and laundry for us to use, and the AC was great, too! The house was clean and well-stocked with basics for our stay. Ashley and Frank from Penn Realty were great- very responsive every time we got in touch with them. We had a couple of very last-minute changes to our reservation (adding pets, and then adding an extra night), and they got back to us immediately and were very accommodating! When we got to the cottage, we couldn’t figure out how to work the oven, so I texted Ashley and she responded immediately that someone would be out in the morning to fix it. We ended up figuring it out in the meantime- turns out, the oven won’t work if the clock isn’t set, and there must have been a power outage shortly before we got there that unset the clock. We got it working and texted Ashley ASAP to let her know not to send the handyman, lol! I would HIGHLY recommend the cottage, or any Penn Realty property in the Chautauqua/Campmeeting area… we had a great time, and will be staying again!
We had a wonderful stay and hope to return soon. Highly recommend!
We had a great stay at your house. We enjoyed the community. Jazz music in the evening and listening to the church music on Sunday morning. The facility was adequate for our needs.
We spent a holiday weekend at the Cottage for a baseball tournament near by. The place was amazing and as advertised. The kids and I enjoyed the uniqueness of the place and the community that it was in was an added bonus with live music nightly. Parking was a little confusing at first but a friendly neighbor was able to direct us to the Firehouse parking lot which was used by community for parking.
