We had a lovely stay. Monica and her family were so sweet and very helpful with every issu during our stay. The village is very calm and well situated. We reached many wonderful places in the surroundings and by the sea. We warmly recommend this place.

The location was even better than the pictures show! It was really clean and spacious. We really enjoyed the pool. The owners are really nice and helpfull.

This is a lovely big villa with a superb swimming pool which was all to ourselves. It was great to have air con in all the bedrooms as it was very hot when we stayed. We had a few minor issues but these were resolved quickly with Monica who was very easy to communicate with via messages. Monica’s mother in law lives next door and is very discreet whilst also being friendly and helpful with the recycling. There are lots of interesting places to visit within an hour’s drive. All in all a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful time here! The rooms were nice and well furnished and the AC worked perfectly. Monica greeted us with some welcoming gifts of bread, sweets, beer and cured ham upon arrival. (I needed that beer after driving in from Barcelona! Haha!) We visited Besalu, Girona, and the coast, quickly and easily during our stay. The pool was wonderful and we used it every day! We were sorry to leave. Strongly recommend! Thanks Monica!

The whole house was very clean and there was an ample supply of towels. The pool was just the right size, the BBQ worked well and was convenient for the kitchen and eating area. Bordils is very quite but well located for getting to the coast, hills and Barcelona, though it was too hot for us to venture to the latter or go mountain biking. Ceiling fans or AC in every bedroom would have helped all of us sleep better, but we were on holiday so getting up late wasn't too much of a problem. Margarita and her daughter Anna are extremely kind and generous, any question or problem was responded to very quickly.

Driving up to the house, you are greeted by a complete sense of awe and beauty. Margarit's ancestral home is simply stunning. The grounds are in lovely condition, so too is the accomodation in which guests are housed. The house is 'off the beaten track', which suited us well coming from busy Hong Kong. Nothing was too much for our hosts Margarit and her daughter Anna. Margarit does not speak English but Anna is fluent. Both are absolutely charming, and made us feel part of their family. Anna's response time on any enquiries, whether about the house or what was around 'tourist' wise, was fantastic. There is a tiny market town within very easy walking distance, and some delis and other 'local' patiserries, butchers and so on a short drive away. You'll need to drive around and explore. Bordils is, in our view, ideally positioned, with it being no more than an hour or so driving distance from Barcelona, Girona, and some very picturesque towns such as Pals, Besalu and Cadaques (all recommended by Anna, and now us) So, all in all, a lovely weeks holiday for our family. We would have no hesitation in recommending this 'gem' to anyone.

The house and accommodations were perfectly clean, our hosts Anna and Margarita were charming and amazing for helping with a medical problem. The countryside surroundings are very nice and shops are within very short driving distance. Bordils is also close to many cultural and natural points of interest. We strongly recommend this property for your holiday near Gerona !
