Very good location, short drive to Lake Windermere, walking spots, shops, restaurants and transportation in close proximity. The cottage itself was nice overall with lots of information provided and cosy with everything provided that could be needed for a few days. However, parts of the cottage were a bit tired and had some odd things like the dishwasher was quite high up so we did not use it. Some of the utensils and plates needed to be washed again and the family bathroom was a bit grotty and had a very unusually high sink which was not very easy to use, these things were disappointing given the price we paid for our stay. The hosts provided clear instructions so we did not need to bother them, we had no contact from them at all so the stay was a bit impersonal from what we have been used to. Nevertheless the cottage is functional, quite cozy and you are paying for the location, which is excellent.
