Stayed May 23, 2022We loved the cottage and it’s location out of town. Wildlife abounds, with evening deer visits and hummingbirds all around. Great stay! We would recommend written instructions in order to watch all the DVDs. We found the dvr and direct tv controls, but not the tv controls. If not needed, great, but instructions would be a plus.

Stayed Jun 24, 2026If you want to get away this is your place! I loved this cute cabin, the overall feel, the large porch to sit on drinking coffee and reading, while deer walked about. It was perfect! Everything was wonderful and the feel of the cabin was exactly what I hoped! Can't wait to go back!

Stayed Oct 16, 2025Honey Creek is a beautiful cabin with a expansive views of the hill country. It is nestled in the trees and has a great porch for sitting outside and enjoying nature. The inside is decorated beautifully with country cabin charm. It is a great place to relax and very close to F'burg for dining and shopping.

Stayed Jun 21, 2025This is our second time to celebrate our anniversary at Honey Creek Cottage so you know we absolutely love it. However, there are a few things that could be improved: black out curtains in the bedrooms so we can take a nap; improved lighting in the bathroom; the bathroom wasn't as clean as it should have been; tree removal/trimming so the view off the back porch wasn't so obscured; better (more comfortable) seating in the living room; we could t get the DVD player to work. Otherwise, we love this cabin!

Stayed Jan 3, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at Honey Creek! The cabin was close to other cabins but with the trees and all we felt like we were secluded. The cabin itself was VERY nice, had all the amenities a person could ask for. We both said the bed downstairs was the most comfortable mattress we have slept on in all of our travels. We will definitely stay at Honey Creek again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great vacation spot. This is our second time coming here. A few issues. The bathroom lighting is terrible. Couldn't see to put contacts in or put on my makeup. The ceiling fan in the great room didn't work. The charging station on the bed side didn't work. One of the ceiling fans on the front porch didn't work. Other than these issues, it was a really nice stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Honey Creek was a wonderful cabin and we really enjoyed our stay. Gausthaus Schmidt was so easy to work with as well. One item to improve: change the mattress in the downstairs bedroom. It was incredibly bad. We would definitely stay again with this one update. Thank you!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969It was so quiet and cozy perfect for our little family. We enjoyed the nature and the town of Fredericksburg. We will be back soon.
