Stayed Nov 14, 2025Bach the agent handling our booking in NZ were amazing, they moved us to a beautiful home looking over the beach. However this home was not acceptable and not as described in the VRBO listing. There was NO wifi, but it was listed with wifi. And it couldn't be fixed. NOT Cool. the House was freezing cold because it was old, not insulated and you couldn't close the windows, we could barely sleep. It was terrible and we paid good money for this place. The view was good but so what......You could not walk to the beach. Only along a dangerous road which no one would attempt.Don't stay here.

Stayed Jun 1, 2019We are happy to give this home a 4 star. If we were visiting during the NZ summer it would be a 5 star. The home is lovely, clean and very comfortable. When we entered the home on a very cold night at the beginning of winter, we felt we were entering a cold ice cave. The property managers had a portable heater going in the master bedroom but the home was frigid. We could not take off our many layers of jackets. There is a permanently open window in the downstairs bathrrom. The home is not very well insulated at all, louvred windows and single pane windows everywhere. The views are FANTASTIC so glad to have all those windows! The beds have electric bed heaters and that helped but we could not sit on sofas and relax. The property managers were extremely prompt with getting back to us and brought us another portable heater for the other living space that shares the kitchen. I would recommend this home in the summer months wholeheartedly in every way for comfort, cleanliness and views. If you are traveling in the winter then I would request more portable heaters. We loved Abel Tasman and the surrounding Kaiteriteri area. The property managers are attentive and helpful.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The property was well presented and ideally located for visits to the Abel Tasman National Park and other sights in the area. The views were truly magnificent. We visited Takaka and Golden Bay and the wineries in the Nelson area were well worth the visit. The highlight was the water taxi ride and the walk along the Coastal Path visiting unspoilt beaches along the way. The house had everything we needed for our stay and we would definitely like to return.
