The property manager and home owners were wonderful in working with us due to some unforseen circumstances on our part. The home was very clean and well equipped. All necessary parties were easy to contact. We even made a friend that was a local down the driveway on another property. Would absolutely rent here again!
Our group of three teenagers, their 40-ish mom, and 70-ish grandmother were able to completely relax at the house. We live on opposite sides of the country, so these five days were a happy treat. The beds, showers, and furniture were super comfortable.
We truly enjoyed our short stay at the Hillside Rogers Cottage. It was just our small family of 4 and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The screened in porch was the highlight - so calming, relaxing and fun for chipmunk watching below. We did not attempt the trail down to the lake as it looked very overgrown and bit rickety. So, we stayed up top and admired the outstanding view. The house had everything we needed - including a very comfy living room! The beds were so comfortable and everything was clean and cozy. Also ... we havent spent a ton of time in this area so were very delighted at downtown Rogers!! The house was about 15+ min from there and we grabbed a quick lunch over there and loved walking around the downtown area. We will be coming back to this area, for sure!!
The location was great.I had everything we need at the house bt of course you had to bring your own food bt stores were no more than 15 miles away.Great location.
The property had everything we needed for a lovely time. We absolutely loved the back deck and screened in porch and spent most of out time there when we were not exploring Rogers, Eureka Springs and the wonderful Crystal Bridge Museum in Bentonville.
With exception of a few disappointments this stay was as described. The view from the back porch was nice and although the neighbors homes are close it felt private and peaceful. Access to the lake seemed a little sketchy so no attempt was made. The amenities were as described with functional appliances washer/dryer, wifi, TVs..etc worked however coffee pot did not and bedroom TV was outdated (not smart) with limited local antenna signal. We chose this rental for location which was nice with less than 5 minute drive to boat ramp, so the older lake house feel was not really an issue.
Enjoyed spending time at this beautiful property and celebrating our wedding anniversary.
I had to contact Evolve to get the code even though I got an email when I booked the house that did I would get that information a few days before arrival. We were “greeted” at the door by a large spider and several small spiders that we had to get past to unlock the door. The house was clean, but we killed several spiders throughout our stay. The owners had spider traps in most of the rooms, so it’s obviously an issue. The WiFi is useless. We used our phones as hotspots to be able to watch tv in the living room. I set up my laptop right next to the WiFi router so that I could get some work done. I ended up using my phone hotspot instead. The path to the lake is so overgrown that we could not get to the lake. A bushwhacker would be useful. The only reason we stayed here the whole time of our reservation is because we were there to visit our son who’s a counselor at a camp nearby and he only had Saturday off. Being the Fourth of July weekend, there was no other place to stay.
Definitely not worth the money unless you want to feel like you’re staying in a relatives old house. The property manager is excellent but there’s only so much she can do with this property. It is in a subdivision with a very small view of the lake. Old furnishings very few mismatch towels no washcloths.
This property is extremely run down and was not clean. The kitchen sink and oven were both filthy. Also several of the kitchen pans were rusty and I didn't feel comfortable using. The carpet had multiple stains and there was brush and ask on the hearth and carpet in front of the fireplace. We ended up leaving one night early. The only thing nice about the property was the view.
