Higgins Lake Retreat - Hike, Swim, Relax!

House was clean and comfortable, tucked away in the woods. Manager was very responsive. We especially enjoyed the deck and the loft bedroom.

We always enjoy our visits to Higgins Lake! Higgins Lake Retreat was great! It was clean, close to everything and very welcoming!

Large woodsy lot. Good quality. Open loft. Great first floor bedroom. Kitchen was clean and neat with all standard appliances. Must negotiate stairs to enter. Fire pit. Private setting. Large moveable sofas for kids. The towel bar in main bath needs to be repositioned and attached in a firm manner.

This was our second time at this home and it was just as great as the first time! The host is very professional and responds quickly to any correspondence! The location is fantastic, being in a very quiet, heavily wooded small community. The birding here is wonderful with many different species to enjoy. It is close to both state parks which have wonderful beaches and swimming.

Beautiful and clean we really enjoyed our stay super close to the boat launch. Very well stocked with everything we needed!

This property was welcoming the minute we pulled up the driveway. Once inside even more so. Everything was clean and it was well stocked with items - cookware, dishes, coffee maker, and more! I would recommend this place over and over.

What a wonderful experience! The home is just right the right size, in a great, quiet location. Trees all around give a feeling of privacy even though there are homes around the area. We were visited by deer each morning and even in the evening while we were enjoying a fire! The host is fantastic, answering any questions you may have very quickly and efficiently! We would love to return next year!

The house was located very closely to Higgins Lake. The house was clean and perfectly fit our needs. We loved the lights out by the bonfire area. We enjoyed our stay here and would love to come stay again next summer.

Stayed here while vacationing with friends to enjoy lake life and local recreation. The property provided great cooking accomodations and amazing property to enjoy fires and bbq'ing outdoors. Great location to get anywhere you need to go for an area day trip.

Had a wonderful stay at the Higgins Lake retreat. It had everything we needed, and was very comfortable, cozy, and cute. Was tucked back in the woods so felt very private, but a short drive to the lake and conveniently located near many of the other beautiful places the area has to offer. Would definitely come back and stay again.

My husband and I go up to Higgins every year with his family. We've stayed in many different places and so far, this one is our favorite! We loved this cozy little home tucked away in the woods. Very scenic, beautiful, and relaxing. It's everything we needed with nearby access to Higgins and Houghton for some good old fashioned fun in the sun. We were very impressed with everything that was already there for us to use (pots, pans, aluminum foil, sponges and dish soap, etc etc). We would gladly stay there again :)
